Kikoskia plays Daikatana - Part 2 of 10

We've got the Daikatana, but our problems are just beginning!

Head all the way south from here and fight off the robot. There is an obvious panel in the floor. Walk up to the panel after defeating the robot to open it, then move around the two orbs that are wildly flying around to press B at the pink door to open it and get the Access Card.

Head back to the pink console and use the Access Card on it with the B button. You'll free the man, who introduces himself as Superfly Johnson. Hiro tells Superfly about the mission to rescue Mikiko, and Superfly tells Hiro he was the security chief for the fortess until he questioned Kage Mishima's torture methods and threatened to quit his job and ended up being tortured himself. Superfly then looks up Mikiko's name in the database, but cannot find her in the prisoner list, meaning she must be a top secret prisoner. Hiro shows the hologram of Mikiko to Superfly, and Superfly finds out she is being held in Level 4 and treated like a very important person. He then opens up a nearby vent, allowing Hiro a shortcut to Mikiko.

From this point, you'll be playing as Superfly Johnson, who plays exactly like Hiro. If you need health, grab the yellow Capsule to the north before going into the vet. The conveyor belts will make it harder to move around as you take out the bats and soldiers, but they are not insurmountable. Be sure to take the far-rigth path at the end so you don't end up in lava.

From here, you'll need to use the switch to get the metal platform to move back and forth over the pit, then head north. Further north is the SideWinder - which you'll want to get - as well as a fan that will cut you to ribbons if move into it. To the east, you'll contend with more conveyor belts, then you'll have to hit the button and jump into the claw on the ceiling so it can move you to the other side. You'll then have to face another robot before getting in an elevator. You are now at Level 4.

If you need the Capsule, grab it, then move south. Take out the robots and get the Body Temp Regulator in the nearby locker. To the south is a teleporter, but you will need an access code to get it to work. Head east from the locker and fight off the robots with the Ion Blaster. Hit the switch at the end to open the door nearby and find Mikiko. Hit the switch in the room, then go back to the elevator. A door is now open in the corner.

Go inside and you'll find a cartridge for the SideWinder. There are also three switches - red, green and blue. Hit the red and blue switches to match the purple light in the center of the room, then return to where Mikiko is being held. This time, Mikiko will no longer be under a barrier and will be awake. Upon hearing that her father Toshiro is dead at the hands of Mishima's ninja forces, Mikiko vows to take revenge upon Kage Mishima and asks if you have recovered the Daikatana, and joins the party after she threatens to look for the Daikatana alone before Hiro says they will find it.

Head back to the teleporter you couldn't use before. Mikiko will have the code and will input it. When you go inside, you will be teleported to another part of the fortress. If you haven't saved yet, now is a good time. Take out the robot, then shove the desk to the right over to the left so you can jump your way into the ventilation shaft. Take out the robot on the other side, then hit the switch nearby and go south to hit the switch you saw at the beginning of this section but could not reach due to the wall.

From here, you'll want to go southeast and jump across the desks again to go through the vents and hit the switch to get out more easily. Go north from here, however, to take out the ninjas to get a SideWinder cartridge and yellow Armor.

From here, go back to the main hallway and take the stairway to the north. Here, you will find the Daikatana, but you will not be able to get it yet. Instead, you will want to go to the hallway in the northwest. Far to the north, you'll find a yellow Capsule and an Ion Blaster cartridge as well as two switches. Hit the one with the two dots on the left to open the bridge, and make sure to step on the orange tiles in the center of the previous room or else you're going to be sent into the room downstairs. From here, hurry to the Daikatana. You've got it!

Unfortunately, your victory is short-lived, as Kage Mishima is here...with another Daikatanas. The only reason there are two Daikatanas are because of Mishima's traveling through time, and he sensed that we had gotten the sword. It also becomes obvious that if both Daikatanas touch, they would repel each other and deny each other's existence, causing the world to collapse on itself. Mishima, noting that Hiro has no idea how to use the Daikatana's power, sends Hiro, Mikiko and Superfly into the Prison of Time.

Hiro then wakes up somewhere else, alone, with the Daikatana having lost all power...
