NintendoCapriSun plays Mega Man 10 - Part 5 of 10

We're a bit closer to beating all eight Robot Masters, and in this entry, NintendoCapriSun takes on Solar Man and Chill Man.

Solar Man

The area starts with you going upwards. The block robots will fly towards you, while the missile launchers will move back and forth on the walls and regularly shoot missiles that slowly home in on you. There will also be conveyor belts.

The "desk lamp" robots open up to fire a beam after charging it up. Shoot at it when it is open, as it does not close back up to charge another beam until a few seconds have passed.

The "pots" in the ceilings and floor shoot out fireballs that move from one "pot" to another. They look like the fireballs in Fire Man's stage from the first game.

The mini-boss here are a pair of phoenixes. They both fly up and down and take both sides of the room, and the one that is higher will shoot three fireballs that land on the ground, so pay attention to where they are going to land. The two phoenixes will also switch places. When they do, be ready to jump so you don't get hit by one of them. Keep shooting the one that is always lower, and you'll eventually be able to take out both of them.

The fire pits are instant death, and you'll usually see them near conveyor belts.

Solar Man will jump around and throw balls of solar energy downwards. When they hit the ground, they produce energy waves that travel to both sides of the screen. Equip the Water Shield and jump over them while staying close to Solar Man so the bubbles can hit him.

Beating Solar Man will net you the Solar Blaze. Mega Man shoots an energy ball forward, and it eventually splits into two energy waves that travel towards both sides of the screen.

Chill Man

There are ice physics in this game, and they act the same way as when those red balls from the Mettaurs in Pump Man's stage stuck onto Mega Man.

The white ball-shaped robots throw snowballs that split into four smaller balls that go in the four cardinal directions when they hit the ground.

The ice blocks will start to break when you land on them once, and if you land on them again, they break completely. You must jump on them or drop onto them in order to break them; walking onto them will do nothing. Enemies, such as crusher robots, can also damage and/or break them in the same fashion. If they are in front of you like a wall, you can destroy them with the Buster. Just be mindful about destroying them in certain sections; you may make it a little harder to get where you want to go.

The plus-shaped robots from the first game that move back and forth make a return here! You can even destroy them the exact same way.

The birds that show up in the snowy sections will fly by, stop and launch a missile that will then launch at you when it is lined up. Be ready to jump over the missiles.

If Beat catches you when you fall into a pit, use the Control Pad to get Mega Man out of the pit and onto safe land. You only have a few seconds to get to where you want to go, so be quick about it.

There are also small robots with spiky undersides that bounce up and down towards. Thankfully, a few Buster shots will do them in.

Chill Man will run at you and try to shoot his icy shots at you. If they hit, you will be frozen; if they hit the floor or a wall, they will create spikes. Be ready to move a lot if you're going to use the Buster; otherwise, equip the Solar Blaze and fire it when you are on the ground. Since Chill Man's feet never leave the ground, it'll hit him every time.

Beating Chill Man gives you the Chill Spike, which works just like Chill Man's version, even down to the spikes it creates if it hits a wall or the floor.
