PrinceWatercress plays Illusion of Gaia - Part 3 of 21

After breaking out of prison, we get Kara out of Edward Castle before going on the round-the-world journey entrusted to us by our father...

Edward's Castle

Now that you are back in the castle basement, head back to Princess Kara's room. All the guards will be sleeping, and if you talk to them, you won't get in trouble. However, if you talk to the guard to the east of the castle entrance, he will tell you to get out of the castle while you can. You could do that, but if you do, you'll get a message of Will thinking "If you want to take her away, now's the time..." This is your clue to find Kara and get her out of here.

Head all the way to the top and enter Kara's room. After you talk to her, she follows you. If you head to the castle entrance, she will tell you that they will need food and ask you to go to the cellar. Also, for this one message box, her name will be Karen, her name in the beta version of the game.

Head back to the basement. As you move to the left past the group of barrels, Kara will tell you that one of the barrels has food in it. Look at the barrel with the open top and press A to get a roast leg of yak. You'll need this later.

From here, go back to the castle entrance. It's time to leave Edward's Castle and never come back. You will immediately head to South Cape.

South Cape

You will immediately reappear in Will's House, where everything has been thrown around. Head upstairs with Kara and you will find out that The Jackal, the hunter that Kara's mother hired, has struck in Will's home and has been sent after Bill and Lola to get Olman's ring by any means necessary.

Suddenly, Lilly shows up. She will tell you Grandma Bill and Grandma Lola are safe in Itory Village, where she lives. There is a village in the area, and a barrier protects it from being seen by normal humans. Kara will want to go, and Lilly will tell her it is not safe. Kara, being stubborn, refuses to listen. From there, Lilly will tell you to talk to the townspeople one last time, as you may not be back in South Cape for a long time.

If you talk to Gem after finding all seven Red Jewels, you will get a point added to your defense for bringing back five of them.

Afterwards, talk to Lilly and say you are ready. Kara thinks something good will happen, but Lilly says there will be many hardships. Kara's stubbornness and lack of knowledge about the world beyond the castle rears its head, then when Kara asks if she is your friend, you will all head back to Itory Village regardless of the choice.

Itory Village

At Itory Village, Lilly will ask you to play Lola's melody again. Equip Lola's melody and play it with the B button. When the song is over, the entire village will be uncovered.

From here, Kara and Lilly will head to the east after an argument. You'll find out that Grandpa Bill and Grandma Lola are safe as they fill you in on what happened. Lilly will tell you that her house is right there and to come back after talking to everybody.

If you check the right side of the logs to the left of the entrance, you'll find Red Jewel #8.

The Dark Space portal north of Lilly's house is where you will be able to obtain a new power: the Psycho Dash. The Psycho Dash allows you to charge up energy by holding the A button and destroying certain walls and obstacles as well as doing huge damage to enemies when you let the button go. Walk up to the statue of Will and you will learn it.

Run down the nearby ramp and hit the ramp on the other ramp, and you will reach a small cemetery. Here, you will meet the village elder after walking around for a little while. Talk to him, and he will tell you about your mother Shira and your father Olman, and that Shira had powerful people. It will become obvious to the elder that you were summoned here by Olman, and entrusts the Incan Statue of the village in the cave below.

Go down the ladder and enter the nearby cave. It may look like there is nothing there, but if you go up to the northeast corner of the room, you can use the Psycho Dash to break a hole in the wall to get Incan Statue A.

Go back up and talk to the elder. He will tell you to put the statue on the Larai Cliff below the ruins, where the spirits' breath cannot reach. The winds in the valley will then lead you to the Gold Ship. You'll then learn that the Moon Tribe has the other statue, and that you will need Lilly to take you to the Moon Tribe.

You're all done here, so head back to Lilly's house and talk to Lilly. When she tells you if you are ready to leave, say yes. Kara will want to go, but Lilly asks her to stay in the village.

If you head outside from there and talk to Grandma Lola, you will learn the legend of the child with the Dark Power. Remember that for later. Grandpa Bill will give you a refresher on DP if you need it.

Moon Tribe Camp

Walk up the stairs to the north to advance the plot. You'll meet the Moon Tribe regardless of which guess you make as to who they are. Talk to all of the Moon Tribe Members, and you will learn about the comet that is coming towards the earth, and how they have seen the comet and go every 800 years. One of them will tell you that Incan Statue B is in the cave below.

When you go into the cave, you will have to destroy all the monsters inside within 20 seconds to get Incan Statue B or else you will have to leave and re-enter to start over. It helps to group enemies together and use your hopping strike to do slightly more damage. This should not take long.

After you leave with Incan Statue B, talk to Lilly. The two of you will head to the Incan Ruins.

Inca Ruins

When you enter this area, Lilly will tell you about the legend of the Incan Gold Ship, where the Incan people tried to flee to a new land on a ship of gold. Unfortunately, there is no record of the ship ever sailing.

When you approach the entrance to the Incan Ruins, Kara will show up out of nowhere, irritated that she was left behind. It turns out she was waiting for us the entire time. Lilly and Kara will then wait for you outside.
