Rainiac plays Tintin in Tibet for Super Nintendo - Part 2 of 7

We're in Kathmandu. Now all we need to do is head to the mountains.

Level 3

We're in Kathmandu. It's time to look for a shop owned by one of Chang's relatives.

Go down the first set of stairs and go to the left. Go all the way to the foreground and talk to the guy at the very left end of the level. He'll tell you his son knows where it is and he'll show you where it is.

You will have to avoid some of the objects and people along the way, such as pots swinging back and forth, people holding planks of wood horizontally or people riding bikes. There is also a bell in the window near the second set of stairs. You'll be seeing a lot of them in the upper level of town, and if you've ever watched Joueur du Grenier's review of this game, you'd know these bells can damage Tintin. I'm not even kidding. They actually cause seriously bodily harm to Tintin.

Near the third set of stairs is a kid who looks a lot like Chang. When you talk to him, he tells you to follow him. He also drops a ball, which you'll need to pick up to finish the level. Yet another reference to Joueur de Grenier's review of the game: following the kid results in a wild goose chase.

1-Ups are signified by gold icons saying "1-Up." You'll see one in the foreground of the lower level near the end of the level.

You'll find Snowy at the end in the upper level of town. Give Snowy the ball you picked up so he can help you find the porter's son. This is how you follow the guy. If that's the case, why couldn't they just put the kid with Snowy at the end?

Level 4

A storm is now brewing, and you'll need to take shelter.

You'll meet Chang's uncle, who believes Chang is dead from a plane crash. Tintin doesn't believe it, and asks if there is a Sherpa willing to take him to the mountains. Chang's uncle mentions Tharkey, who lives at the end of the street.

Avoid the roofing tiles, the pots that are thrown out and the barrels that flow out of the flooding waters. There is a crate on one of the marketplace stands that you'll have to pick up. This is necessary for a short and easy box puzzle that involves placing the boxes on the flooded floor so that the girl can make her way across without being swept away (which is weird, because you aren't).

From here, get some boxes to get the Golden Apples. You'll meet Tharkey at the end.

Level 5

Tintin manages to talk Tharkey into heading out to the mountains in three days.

To the right of the start, you'll have to make a running jump to get the 1-Up. From there, use the platforms made out of pebbles to get back. They'll crumble when you stand on them, so be quick.

Above the starting point is a man who tells you that fresh grass attracts the yaks. That's a good thing, because the yaks do two points of damage instead of one. You'll need the grass (which is animated, moving grass that tends to blend in with the ground) to get past the yaks that will block your path. You'll need to be right on top of it in order to pick it up, then you'll have to lay it out for the yak to see it so it moves out of your path. From there, run to the next part of the level before the yak returns to where it was standing.

Seeing that this is a mountain stage, you'll obviously be avoiding rocks that roll down the hills. If the rocks aren't moving, they won't damage you.

After sliding down a steep slope and landing on another platform below, you'll have to feed another yak some grass. Place it near the pebble platform, then take the platforms above the yak to get through to the other side. One of the pebble platforms leading to the end has a Golden Apple inside it, but you need not crumble the platform to get it. (Also, if you do, you're trapped.)
