NintendoCapriSun plays Mega Man 6 - Part 9 of 12

The battle continues as we progress through Mr. X's castle at light speed!

Mr. X Stage 1 (continued)

The boss for this section are two robots on rails in the background. They move around a set path and shoot towards the ground, and can also cause damage by running into you. The most annoying thing they can do, though, is turn around and try to run smack into you again.

Hit these guys with charged up Mega Buster shots, and jump over them when they're near you. If you need to, alternate between the Mega Buster and the Plant Barrier, and use the latter when the robots are near you. The shots that come down will still cause the barrier to disappear, though, so watch it.

Mr. X Stage 2

There are some fake floors in the ground shortly after the beginning, which are indicated by the see-through lattices in the floor with the spaces below them. The second has spikes, so jump from one side to the other. Better yet, use the Jet Adaptor so you know you made it.

All of the enemies here seem to come from Tomahawk Man's stage.

The boss here is some robot that walks on the wall. Use Knight Crusher or Silver Tomahawk against it, and avoid both the bullets that the wall walker shoots out as well as the rocks that come down from the top of the screen.

Mr. X Stage 3

If you keep to the left side as you start climbing, you'll be able to get an energy tank. Of course, you'll have to climb back down and get on the main path.

A lot of the enemies here come from Flame Man and Yamato Man's stages.

The sets of two platforms work like a see-saw. Stand on one, and it will slowly lower as the other slowly rises. Be careful when using the second salvo of these, as there are spikes on the ceiling and it makes it harder to use the Jet Adaptor in case you accidentally screw up.

The boss here is a giant robot controlled by a Mettaur in a machine. Sometimes the robot will rush toward you, but never quite reach the left side of the screen. This gives you less room to manuever around and avoid the fireballs that bounce around, but it's not insurmountable. Use Blizzard Attack and hit the Mettaur, and don't jump. Jumping makes it harder to avoid the fireballs that bounce to the left. Just make sure that one of the snowflakes hits the Mettaur.

Sometimes the fireballs will be shot straight out. You can just stand under those and plug away with Blizzard Attack.
