Y'know, I wouldn't be copying and pasting stuff from earlier in the guide if it wasn't for the fact that this LP was somewhat blind in the beginning.
Nevertheless, we're getting somewhere.
Wind Man
Wind Man's two attacks are insane. One of them has him shooting two helicopter blades at you that fly forward in a double helix pattern. The other one has him floating above Mega Man. If you're under him, he'll come down like a hammer. There's no warning to it whatsoever.
Hit Wind Man with the Centaur Flash...and stay on the move! You'll get Wind Storm (W.Storm) for your efforts. Believe it or not, it's a tiny tornado that travels along solid ground...an attack Wind Man doesn't even do. It's like the Top Spin in Mega Man 3, where you spin like a top in mid-air instead of shooting tops at enemies.
Flame Man
Copy and paste time! (Again.)
The shallow water in some spots are actually oil.
The Mettaurs are back! Yay! You should know how to handle them by now: shoot at them when they stop hiding in their hats, and don't get shot yourself!
The spinning red robots that fly through the air stop and shoot flames downwards. If you're in those oil pits, the oil will ignite and the fire will kill you. If you shoot them without killing them, they'll lower towards you as they fly to the other side of the screen.
The robots that are low to the ground that shoot energy balls at you when their head cavity is opened can be taken out with a fully charged Mega Buster shot. When that happens, you'll knock them backwards. If they land head first into an oil pit, the monster will then act as a makeshift raft. Repeatedly jump on the switch on top of your new raft to move. The direction you go will depend on which direction you're facing.
The robots that are low to the ground, can't be killed by normal means and rush towards you when you're at their level are green rectangles with a red circle in the center with two spikes on top and two jet turbines on each side. Once again, charge up your Mega Buster and shoot at them with it to temporarily stun them.
The fat robot that stands there with the flame on its head shoots fire at you much like the robots with the head cavity we saw earlier. Unlike the other one, this one involves fire.
Flame Man has two attacks: shooting short columns of fire out of the ground towards you which span between him and the wall, and the ability to shoot individual fireballs. You can stand between columns, and if you can get where the columns will be down to a science, you can deal with them very easily. You can jump over the fireballs.
You cannot hit Flame Man as he is shooting out the columns. Otherwise, blast away. He can be easy to take out with the Mega Buster if you know what you're doing. If that doesn't work, use Wind Man's Wind Storm.
Beating Flame Man gives you the Flame Blast (F.Blast). It shoots a ball that turns into a column of fire. The column will come out sideways if it hits a wall. You'll also get the Rush Power Adaptor, which allows you to break the cracked blocks.
Plant Man
This is supposed to be your first Robot Master, believe it or not.
Stag beetle bots will come out of the trees, while grasshoppers will hide in the grass and jump around. (They can be hard to see at times, too.)
The crusher robot is back. This time, he's a bit smaller. He still hurts, and he still uses the same tactics.
To defeat the gorilla robots, keep jumping over their fists and avoiding their shots as you repeatedly shoot them in the eyes.
You'll come across springs after this. Hold the A button just before you bounce up to go even higher and reach the ledges with power-ups on them.
You'll be making much higher jumps on the springs now. As you did before, be sure to wait at the edges for fish.
To use the blue platforms, shoot them to open them. You can then use them like you normally would.
The flashing dots on the purple flowers in the trees are actually small health pick-ups.
You'll see one of the turrets bouncing up and down on the springs. Very funny, game.
Plant Man is really easy. He just jumps off of walls and shoots his shield at you. You read this right. It's another shield weapon. He is the easiest to take out with the Mega Buster, and if you stand in a corner, you won't have to worry about him. His weakness is the Blizzard Attack. As always, wait for him to shoot the shield away, then avoid it and blast him before the shield appears again.
Beating Plant Man gives you the Plant Barrier (Plant.B).
