HCBailly plays Link's Awakening DX - Part 8 of 32

It's that time again...time to do things!

Overworld maps by Osrevad. Dungeon maps by Revned.

If you look into the window in the GBC version, you'll get a picture for the Album. Also, if you steal from the Shopkeeper, you get a photo (though the game doesn't announce it).

You'll probably have over 200 Rupees by now, so go get the shovel.

If you use the Shovel in the doghouse near Madame Meow Meow's house, you'll find a Secret Seashell. You'll have to get 980 to buy the Bow (and twenty arrows for it), then you'll be able to buy the arrows.

In the original Game Boy version, you had to get the Shovel in order to buy bombs. That's taken care of in DX, where you can get Bombs right then and there. It should be noted that Bombs don't hurt you in this game, unlike in other entries in the series.

Now that you have bombs, break the crack in the wall open with one. You'll find another Secret Seashell.

The quadruplets say something different after you beat the Bottle Grotto.

There is a lone grave near the village. If you sprinkle it with Magic Powder, the guy buried there will tell you not to sprinkle anything on his grave or he might have to curse you.

The winged Octorocks can be defeated either with a Whirlwind Slash or by holding your sword out in preparation for one and poking it with the sword.

There are monsters in some of the pits near the teleporter near the village. When you get close, their eyes pop up, then they try to bite you. From there, you can whack them in the head with your sword.

Secret Seashells

3. Go back to the doghouse near Madame Meow Meow's house where you got the Ribbon, and use the Shovel. You'll find a Secret Seashell in one spot.

4. The crack in the wall in the Tail Cave requires a bomb to open up. Going inside takes you to a chest with a Secret Seashell.

5. The screen south of the lone grave contains a Secret Seashell underneath the bush.
