Well, we get a new hairstyle and OH MY GOD WHY IS THAT FURRY NAKED
Level 8: Sunshine St.
(continued)
New hairstyle: hit the golden garbage can at what looks like a dead end and you'll see one of those electric hair curler things you see at the beauty shop. Take it, and you'll get the brown spring hair. You can use this to bounce really high and also break blocks below you (in addition to enemies, obviously).
You'll get another basketball game, then the skateboard guy will tell you to use your spring hair jump (which he calls the super jump) to go above the basketball hoop and continue on.
If you die with Pecky in your possession, you'll lose Pecky. That sucks.
The boss here is some giant red man-bat. He throws miniature bats around (up to six!) and swoops down at you in an attempt to attack you. He can also drop bombs, too. He goes down after an amazing eight hits.
Level 9: Red Hot Co 1
When you beat the level, the skateboard guy will tell you that Melody is in Don Garcia's Red Hot Chili Factory.
Hang onto the boxes carried on the conveyor belt on the ceiling with your hair, assuming you have a a hair power-up. From there, you can just pull yourself over to the top and ride the box to wherever it's going.
The banana peel springs you the other way. Touch the banana (which doesn't count as a food item, sadly), then walk into the peel and you'll be able to launch yourself in the direction your back is facing.
The mice in blue are a faster version of the ones in red. I should have noted earlier that they have a slide kick.
Not only do the spiked tipped columns haunt you on the conveyor belt, they also haunt you on the floor over it as you have to deal with the spikes on the top! Nice one, game.
