angryponcho plays Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! - Part 18 of 41

In this entry, we go to Zephyr and find out the mission objective is the exact opposite of Breeze Harbor.

Good thing, too, since I don't really feel like taking sides in this stupid war, either.

Zephyr

This time around, you're helping the Land Blubbers take out the Breeze Builders. You'll have to make your way to the munitions building in order to get the Talisman here. Use the cannons to open doors as well as a fresh new can of Land Blubber whup-ass.

Watch out for the birds that fly around in a circle carrying bombs with their feet. They'll swoop in on you and drop the bomb when you get close enough. Face them, jump when they swoop down and hit them with the flame attack to score the victory.

Sometimes they'll feed the bombs to small brown birds that are based on the ground. They'll spit the bombs out, but they're still easier. Sometimes you'll see these brown birds all by themselves. Don't get too close if you do, as they will punch at you if you simply walk right into them.

There are also blue, muscular birds throwing TNT barrels. Fortunately, their attack is limited to a straight line, so glide in on them (jumping between barrels if you have to) and flame them.

The fodder here are green caterpillars. Apparently some of the Breeze Builders rations have escaped (you'll see one of the small brown birds chasing one, so it has to be Breeze Builder rations).

There is a metal box near the first cannon in the level, one near the last cannon, and one near the Superflame power-up. You know what to do.

A new item appears here: a yellow vase with red question marks on it. Break it, and it disappears, re-appearing at a point earlier in the level. Keep looking for it and hitting it, and you'll eventually make your way back to the start of the level. This last one will reward you with a bunch of gems.
