Eexecute plays Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion - Part 23 of 23

We finally end this one...

0:07 - A cutscene! Yay! Wait...what?

0:45 - Yeah, this is the last boss. Take him out with the PSG when he follows you into a corner. There.

1:36 - The ending.

2:49 - The credits.

3:52 - The epilogue.

5:56 - Playing the game with Joseph - in thirty seconds.

6:38 - For beating the game on Oblivion with both characters, you get to play as Joshua, who has all the weapons. Well done. Also, all the cheats.

OH DEAR GOD WHAT AM I EVEN LOOKING AT

Chapter 5: Oblivion

In The Grasp Of Oblivion

0:25 - A cutscene involving...The Child.

1:25 - Here's Oblivion. You can only hit him at two specific times: when he hits the ground with that blue orb for a hand, or when he shoots beams at you. However, this is a way around this (kinda). Shoot the PSG, and wait for it to stun him. When that happens, switch to the Razor Wind and hit him in the chest with it to deal the most damage. When he comes to, repeat the process. In the meantime, run around the arena to regain ammo and health.

Be careful! He can regenerate his health when you least expect it. Thankfully, Eexecute lucked out.

7:08 - Oblivion defeated!

Not quite, though. The Essence of Oblivion comes out of that thing, and you'll have to chase it down and destroy it.

Eexecute plays Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion - Part 21 of 23

Click here for derping, the Proton Star Generator, and the majestic return of Dead Tien.

Chapter 5: Oblivion

Staging Area

1:42 - Eexecute gets his revenge on this guy for killing him with the PSG.

Crystal Processing

3:28 - Goddammit, Tien.

Staging Area

4:46 - Obvious secrets are obvious.

Undershaft Down

6:26 - Now would be a good time to use the Cerebral Possessor.

7:02 - Workplace safety hazard.

Undershaft Halls

7:56 - Derp.

We're nearing the end now...

Chapter 5: Oblivion

Central Nexus

0:21 - Well, so much for that.

Refinery Two

5:10 - More stupidity involving the Vampire Gun. Guess what number it stops on.

Central Nexus

6:36 - The PSG in real action (kinda).

7:48 - Dead again.

Eexecute plays Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion - Part 19 of 23

Now to get our hands on the ultimate weapon...

Chapter 5: Oblivion

Ore Transport

1:44 - How to die. (Thankfully, he doesn't really die here.)

The Gauntlet

3:27 - lolwat

6:07 - Eexecute speaks too soon.

Refinery One

7:01 - The final piece of the PSG.

7:18 - The PSG in action. You'll have to wait for the meter on the gun to go back to green before you can fire, but at least you have infinite ammo with it. Love those black holes...you just can't get near them without taking a slight amount of damage, so stay far, far away when you fire it.

7:58 - Derp.

11:35 - Dead.

11:46 - MOAR CHIPMUNK

12:50 - END OF CHIPMUNK

Eexecute plays Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion - Part 18 of 23

It's the return of chipmunk time!

Chapter 5: Oblivion

The Outskirts

0:57 - Just for that, you're getting the life sucked out of you.

2:21 - You, too.

2:59 - It's chipmunk time again!

Chaos Entrance

3:25 - Back to normal speed.

4:29 - Fun with Oblivion.

Drilling Sector

6:26 - Heh, heh, heh, drilling sector.

6:51 - "All right! I'll get some free health from this gODDAMMIT!"

Ore Transport

9:28 - "Alright, I'm gonna hit this guy from afar with the Cerebral Bore...let's see what happens...wait, wha...FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU"

11:05 - Ah, so that's how we get in there.

12:03 - Hey, there's an Oblivion over there. I'll just turn back around and head the other way so I can shoot him through the gra...FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU"

Eexecute plays Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion - Part 17 of 23

After plunking in the Gems of Fire and Ice, we finally face the ultimate test!

Gate to Oblivion

0:40 - Once we put both gems in, we get this cutscene when we reach the other side.

Chapter 5: Oblivion

Welcoming Committee

2:01 - The Oblivion's priests (if that's what they are) can deal hellacious damage.

2:47 - A Turok 2-style portal.

The Outskirts

3:21 - I don't even know how he survived that, but he did.

4:41 - First world problem...solved.

6:34 - First world problem...resumed.

Eexecute plays Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion - Part 16 of 23

We have frogs with legs.

Burning Passage

2:28 - We now have frogs with legs. I don't even.

2:57 - "Oh, wow. Another one. This isn't so bad, since they all fall with a well-placed pistol shot or two but OH SWEET JESUS WHY IS IT SO BIG?!?"

Fiery Encounter

4:20 - This Fireborne's quasi-stealth tactics still don't help him.

Heart of Fire

6:27 - The boss here is the Alpha Fireborn. Guess what? The Razor Wind makes him out to be a joke, too. Take down the stalactite on the ceiling to harden the lava, then kill him with the Razor Wind before the lava comes back.

Gate to Oblivion

9:40 - After scaling the roof of the Pyramid, we find this PSG part.

Eexecute plays Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion - Part 15 of 23

"A cave made of fire, filled with fire, and enemies that are made of fire that shoot fire."

I ain't arguing with that.

Gate to Oblivion

0:31 - After opening up this pyramid, we fight what seems to be some sort of evil priest. The Firestorm Cannon puts him out of his misery.

0:44 - Before getting the Gem of Ice, we have to deal with all these randomly spawning blowdart guys.

1:40 - These two switches lead us to a Lava Globe. I wonder what this does...?

2:47 - Oh, I see. It opens this door.

Fiery Encounter

3:13 - No, Eexecute, it's not you. Remember the Firebornes from Turok 2? Well, guess what? They're back.

Aerial Journey

5:06 - After jumping into a few air currents that slowly whisk us around, we come across this boulder and block an air vent.

6:11 - A new type of Fireborne. He's not much tougher than the regular kind, though.

6:38 - Hit this rock in the ceiling to get the lava to pour out. You'll find some new platforms you can stand on.

6:48 - Tien's dead body sure gets around.

7:15 - "What are you doing?"

"Umm...nothing?"

*shoots Fireborne with Fireswarm Cannon, watches him fall*

"Well, at least he fell off the cliff. I don't think he survived that."

*looks over cliff edge*

"Goddammit."

*shoots Fireborne with Fireswarm Cannon again*

The Nursery

8:18 - This section is particularly nasty...and this is why.

9:30 - New weapon: the Cerebral Possessor. It's an upgrade to the Cerebral Bore which lets you temporarily take control of the enemy you target and hit it with for either five seconds or until you decide to let the Possessor shot detonate and blow the poor guy's brains out (whichever comes first).

10:43 - Not one, but two Ultra Healths. Thanks, game.

Eexecute plays Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion - Part 14 of 23

Whole lot of stuff going on in this episode, including one of the hardest Life Force pieces to get in the entire game...

Command Center

2:09 - Worst. Life Force. Ever.

Final Gate

3:56 - Upon reaching this rocky area, we get treated to another cutscene...

4:13 - ...and an RPG.

4:52 - I'm surprised this guy didn't hear us coming. Also, lamest mini-boss cutscene ever.

5:15 - lolDBZ

5:22 - To defeat the Warlord, you'll have to drop him down into those hot, charcoal-heated spikes below. There's a switch on the roof, and you'll have to trigger it when he's standing on the trap door in order to kill him. Razor Wind does the most damage on him. It'll stun him in a mere two hits, and as he's stunned he'll regenerate his health. When he dies, he drops a Gate Key as well as an Ultra Health. Man, look at that health bar.

6:31 - The Joseph crawlspace we saw earlier. Also, Joseph gets the Napalm Cannon instead of the RPG.

Temple of the Damned

10:20 - Tien's dead body shows his face yet again.

11:13 - Putting the Grenade Launcher to use.

12:45 - Remember the guys in the skeleton costumes from the first game? Y'know, the annoying guys who shot all those blow darts at you? Well, they're back, and they're as annoying as ever.

13:20 - Finally, Tien makes himself useful. This lets you get the Sceptre. Take it upstairs, replace that black thing with the Sceptre and you'll be able to open the Pyramid door.

Eexecute plays Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion - Part 13 of 23

In this episode, we do some epic sniping while hitting switches. Joy.

Canyon Blockade (continued)

0:08 - Nothing like waking up in the morning to some guy accidentally killing himself right in front of you, right?

0:27 - Epic sniping success.

Bunker Assault

4:50 - This guy is a prime target for the Vampire Gun. After that, we hit a switch to lower a simple, wooden drawbridge.

Command Center

6:03 - How not to pick someone off from a higher elevation.

7:01 - In the middle of an intense firefight, this guy randomly pops up from out of nowhere.

7:40 - Same as 6:03. Could these guys be any more lame?

7:56 - The Razor Wind returns for more slice-'n-dice action in Turok 3!

8:30 - After showing off the Razor Wind, Eexecute questions why you can't clean your dishes the same way you can clean your weapons in Turok 3.

Canyon Blockade

Here, Eexecute refills on health, gets some more Life Force, and hits some more switches.

Bunker Assault

Well, apparently you can't always get infinite health from a Raptor. Curses.

Eexecute plays Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion - Part 12 of 23

We open the video with a typo. A PrinceWatercress blog first, ladies and gentlemen.

Echos of the Past

0:19 - Why are we back in the first Turok game?

0:57 - Ducking fail.

1:15 - We dive into the water to get the lone Life Force.

1:54 - Hey, whaddya know? I figured it out before Eexecute said anything.

2:00 - Danielle and Joseph figure out that any one person amongst their forefathers was here before they were, hence the familiarity. Apparently, these guys know nothing about their great-great-great (how many "greats" are there?) grandfather Tal'Set. Anyway, they split up so Oblivion can't find them both at the same place in the same time.

Narrow Passage

Here, there's a little more running and gunning. There isn't really much anything new in this point of the level. It should be noted that pieces of Level 1 from the first game are combined into one big level here, and that you can also figure out where the keys from Turok 1 used to be (at least Eexecute can).

Ancient Altar

5:52 - Epic sniping fail.

7:23 - As Eexecute reminisces about his first Raptor encounter in Turok 1...this happens. (Turn annotations on here, it's hilarious.)

Canyon Blockade

8:10 - We end this video with a rather interesting cutscene where the child drawing shows up yet again.

Eexecute plays Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion - Part 11 of 23

We go further into The Lost Land in this entry...

Chapter 3: The Lost Land

(continued)

Into The Jungle

0:39 - "DERP DERP DERP DERP DERP DERP DERP DERP DERP DERP"

*shoots with Fireswarm*

"Joke's on you! I was only...pretending!"

1:01 - As Danielle gets the Grenade Launcher, Eexecute shows you how to get there with Joseph. Weird floor glitch included. Unlike in the first two games, the grenades bounce according to the terrain...and they can bounce real high, making the Grenade Launcher more useless than it should be.

2:12 - The Vampire Gun in action. Finally. Love how the enemy just becomes stick thin when use it on him.

The Foyer

3:11 - Another new weapon...the Firestorm Cannon! Meanwhile, we switch to Joseph once again, who gets the Sniper Rifle instead.

The Opisthor's Chamber

6:20 - To defeat the Opisthor, walk around the room and avoid its simple attacks while shooting at it. Then, hit the switches near the pool it comes out of to lock it. When you lock all four pools, enter the center chamber and take him out one more time. Could this game be any easier?

Eexecute plays Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion - Part 10 of 23

Nothing like Top Gear to wake you up first thing in the morning, eh?

Chapter 3: The Lost Land

(continued)

Generator Room

2:06 - Putting the three fuses in.

The Dam

3:23 - The Turok 2 gun idea that never made it. The Vampire Gun is finally yours. Also, those two Life Forces you couldn't get up at the top of the room are accessible, now that the flood gates are opened from here.

4:42 - The third part for the PSG.

4:48 - Apparently Ultra Health exists in this game. The white bar in the health meter is the extra energy.

5:47 - Underwater sniping fail.

Eexecute plays Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion - Part 9 of 23

We find some more access modules and hunt for pump fuses. Joy!

Chapter 3: The Lost Land

(continued)

Generator Room

0:09 - Tasty.

1:06 - This guy has two heads. THIS GUY HAS TWO HEADS.

2:55 - Access Module B.

3:56 - A battery. This must power the generators up.

4:27 - After placing this battery here, we see more fail.

The Lab

6:12 - Access Module C, as well as some guy in a tube.

6:36 - Pump Fuse 88M, one of three fuses needed to get past this part of the chapter.

The Dam

7:56 - Umm...okay.

8:09 - Pump Fuse 88T.

8:58 - We end the video staring at Pump Fuse 88K...and a Raptor.

Eexecute plays Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion - Part 8 of 23

When Joseph, Danielle and Adon exit the portal, they enter the Lost Lands. Welcome back, Kotter.

Chapter 3: The Junkyard

Lost Land Junkyard

1:03 - Since when do rats drop shotgun shells? Also, love the fact that the tomahawk has blood on it when you hack something to pieces with it.

2:31 - After using the Energy Grapple, we see how Joseph would get around at the beginning. We also see the Metal Mine weapon here.

2:47 - "Wow, I can see this guy's head behind the cover and I can lock on to him! I'll just use my Cerebral Bore and...it's floating. Why is it...FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU"

*le meaty, splashy noise*

"Close enough."

Access Module A

3:27 - "You want tomahawk? YOU WANT TOMAHAWK?!? YOU GET TOMAHAWK!"

Plane Wreck

4:11 - Owned.

6:56 - Great, and I had enough of bugs after the second game, too. Also, new weapon: the Fireswarm. It's another upgrade, this time for the shotgun.

7:10 - Another Joseph strategy. Instead of the Fireswarm, he gets the Shredder. This time around, the Shredder can stun enemies like the Charge Dart Rifle.

7:35 - Oh, hell...

The Drain

8:48 - Three levels in, and we finally start seeing dinosaurs. About time. Also, the Fireswarm in action.

9:36 - We also take down our first Purlinn. The Fireswarm makes quick work of it, then we see Joseph taking one down with the Shredder.

11:00 - The Blue Crystal Key, the first of two keys we need to open the door.

11:08 - The Compies return as well.

11:45 - The Red Crystal Key.

11:59 - Fail.

12:15 - A graphical glitch, followed by more fail.

Eexecute plays Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion - Part 7 of 23

In this episode, we square off against another boss and see just how creative this game can be.

Chapter 2: The Military Base

(continued)

Undersea Observatory

0:10 - Under the sea! Under the...holy crap, that is nice for an N64 game.

The Sub Pen

2:46 - To beat the Xiphias, just...can I help you?

3:04 - To beat the Xiphias, just open the door to the boss room, then climb to the top and fire at it, strafing to avoid its projectiles. That's all there is to it.

When it's nearly dead, go up to the console at the top in the center of the room and hit the switch to drop the submarine on it. It's dead.

4:43 - After diving underwater to see the Xiphias's crushed body, we find the last four Life Force in the level.

5:16 - Cutscene time!

Eexecute plays Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion - Part 6 of 23

Watch this video for a near-death experience, randomly spawning enemies, and some green Oblivion creature derping.

Chapter 2: The Military Base

(continued)

Dark Hangar (continued)

0:22 - We found a power cell after we destroyed that wall in the last video, so let's plug this bad boy in and restore power to the warehouses.

Hit The Lights

0:47 - Double kill.

Into The Barracks

1:35 - We momentarily switch to Joseph for this shining usage of the Night Vision Goggles. Also, the barracks maze is totally different if you play as Joseph instead of Danielle. Also, you has a knife.

2:07 - What are these things supposed to be? Space slugs? Oh, well, we'll find out soon enough.

3:19 - After we get out the Energy Grapple to get over this pit...

3:23 - ...we see how Joseph would have gotten here.

The Barracks

4:30 - If you haven't figured it out already, these things spawn every so often.

5:17 - We finally see those ugly space slug-looking things up close. I still can't tell what they are, but they're still pretty bad.

5:28 - "Okay, where is that guy? I can hear him."

*walks around and finally finds him*

"What the hell?"

"DERP DERP DERP DERP DERP DERP DERP DERP DERP DERP"

Rec Room

6:39 - Eexecute comes this close to getting himself killed.

7:05 - Coming down this slope gives you the Mag 60. If you're playing as Joseph, you'll get the Silenced Pistol instead.

7:33 - "Well, I know there's some health here and...wait...there's a Cerebral Bore down here the entire time and I never knew about it?" Yep, there sure is! Works just like it does in Turok 2, as well. Everybody's favorite bleed-out weapon is back!

Eexecute plays Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion - Part 5 of 23

We have some non-human enemies for once? Oh, here we go!

Chapter 2: The Military Base

(continued)

Main Access (continued)

0:15 - Somebody's activated the self-destruct code in the military base, and you have two minutes to deactivate it. Take the Silo Keycard, then run into the silo.

Silo 1

For some strange reason, this silo is far away from the rest. Hit the switch at the console to deactivate it, then open the closed door and enter the rest of the silos from there.

Silos 2, 3 and 4

2:28 - The switches are triggered, but there's one more to get...and Eexecute barely gets it.

2:49 - Bitchy scientists sure are bitchy.

3:04 - Another part of the PSG.

Main Access

From here, head to the main access elevator and enter it. You'll be able to enter the warehouse.

Dark Hangar

3:54 - Eexecute takes a shot in the dark. Literally. Multiple times.

4:28 - Here's the fuse box. You'll need to fix this thing so that you can restore power to the warehouse area.

4:45 - A treasure trove of health and ammo.

The Warehouses

5:03 - Not sure what these are, but they're a new enemy. These things can spit at you, so be careful.

5:33 - The aforementioned monsters up close.

5:54 - You think the AI would be a little better than that in the first two games...but...no.

7:19 - More military intelligence fail.

8:39 - I can't tell what's more hilarious. The fact that he let us kill all his buddies, or that he still stands there afterwards so Eexecute can get a melee kill.

9:39 - By the time he turns around, it's too late.

11:40 - By blowing up this explosive crate, we open a hole in the wall.

Dark Hangar

12:11 - "Gee, it's kinda dark..."

"Did you bring a light?"

"No."

Eexecute plays Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion - Part 4 of 23

This level is kinda slow, but it picks up after a while...

Chapter 2: The Military Base

The Military Base

1:50 - After shooting down a couple of humans and getting a keycard, we find a new weapon here...the assault rifle. We finally have something with rapid fire capabilities.

Corridors Of Pain

2:49 - Wow, the military fail as badly as the police.

Main Access

Here, it's a deadly firefight with some more soldiers before we climb up a ladder, collect some Life Force and go further up in this facility.

Topside

5:27 - Military intelligence fail.

6:35 - The lift keycard.

7:04 - A box of grenades. Hmmmm...

Main Access

7:12 - After pressing this lift switch, this helipad drops down.
