PrinceWatercress plays The Wizard of Oz for Super Nintendo - Part 11 of 14

It's Purple Country time...and also time for missing frames because my computer decided to be crap without me realizing it! Here we go!

Mallow Marsh

The Cowardly Lion can throw blocks and attack with his claws. He can also climb the trees here. Just stand in front of a tree and hold Up and Down on the Control Pad. Press the jump button to slide down the tree.

This level is the best place to get purple bricks (which you will need). Just look in the trees to find them.

The gold bar (which we saw in Indigo Palace) is the health pick-up for the Cowardly Lion. The health pick-up for The Tin Man is the watering can.

At the last tree in the level, use the mushroom to bounce up and head to the left to get a purple Ticket and a bunch of purple bricks.

Mauve Castle

You'll be leaping from one platform to another here. Be mindful not to leap into the bottomless pit at the beginning of the level.

Watch out for the gargoyle heads on the walls. These things will spit fireballs at you.

As you make your way to the top, you'll have to deal with the flying monkeys again. The second purple Ticket is all the way at the top, to the far left.

Once you get that ticket, drop down and head to the right. You'll eventually find an empty chamber that leads to an elevator. Get on the elevator and avoid the fireballs. When you make it to the top, you'll meet The Wicked Witch of the West! Finally!

Switch to The Tin Man, and stay in the center. Keep swinging the ax, and she will eventually go down. The fireballs will not hurt The Tin Man, and the teleporting she does will merely be a nagging flab on the way to winning here. When you hit her enough times, you'll finally defeat her! Write down the password that you get. You're done, but your journey's not over yet!
