NintendoCapriSun plays Mega Man 9 - Part 7 of 9

Now that's more like it! We go through another section before making it to the boss rush.

Dr. Wily Stage 3

When you make it to the second screen, you're going to be floating again. Just remember that you have to shoot to move, and when you shoot, you'll propel yourself backwards. Don't shoot too much too quickly, or else you'll be going too fast and you could careen into spikes or enemies. This is especially true on the last screen of the second floating section, because a helicopter will pop up in the upper-left corner when you reach the ladder, and it's all too easy to bump into it as soon as it shows up.

There are a lot of spikes in this section, not only in the floating sections, but in the third stage in general.

The boss is two slime balls: one green and one brown. They switch places much like the Yellow Devil from the first and third games. The core in the green slime ball is the weak point, and you can only shoot it when it moves around. The Black Hole Bomb is your best weapon for this, and you can easily shoot it at the same height as the core. When the core runs into the Bomb, it'll automatically take damage. It moves towards you, then moves up, so this makes it easier.

Thankfully, the slime balls have only twelve segments, so you don't have to do a lot of jumping and dodging. They also detach. from top to bottom, from one end of the ball to the other.

Dr. Wily Stage 4

Use the Concrete Shot to turn off the lasers, which will damage you if you touch them.

Once you drop down the shaft with the Dr. Wily logo, it's boss rush time.
