NintendoCapriSun plays Mega Man 9 - Part 2 of 9

Apologies for the video quality. A canned-ham replacement had to be made for this one following a visual claim by IGN.

Of all people...IGN.

Jewel Man

Shooting the mine cart robot once will stun them. You'll have to shoot them multiple times to kill them. Avoid the rocks they send at you.

The turrets shoot straight forward, with the shots going down at an angle. and take only a few shots to kill.

Shoot the dollar bill robots before they hit the ground, or they'll move fairly fast.

The spider robots will come down the ceiling by a strand of web and bounce around. If only you had your charge shot...anyway, shoot them when they're on the ground for best results.

The platforms on chains can only swing back and forth when you move back and forth. You'll have to make a few passes in order to make some platforms. Watch out for that wall of spikes before the mid-boss.

For the mid-boss, avoid the rocks that drop down and be in the air when the rock with the face drops down, as it'll freeze in place if you're not. Get some shots in and jump over the rock when it tries to return to the ceiling. You can always tell where it's going to go by watching the dirt from the rocks on the ceiling come down after the mini-boss climbs back up there.

Some of the pits have green robots that will rise up and shoot to the

The jewel robots will follow you around and open up to shoot at you. Shoot them in the core when they're open.

For the swing platform in the room that's covered in spikes, you'll have to swing the platform far enough so that you can run to the edge and drop down the hole in the center.

The bouncy robot near the end that shoots at you in two directions takes several shots before it explodes.

Jewel Man uses a Jewel Satellite (another shield weapon) and jumps when you do. Jump low so he jumps over you, and use the Black Hole Bomb to destroy the Jewel Shield and defeat Jewel Man.

Beating Jewel Man gives you the Jewel Satellite. You can use it as a shield and shoot it forward like all the other shield weapons seen in previous games.

Plug Man

The little spinning robots from the second game that home in on you are back, and you'll also have to deal with electrified wheels that move across walls, floors and ceilings. If you have the Hornet Chaser from Hornet Man, the first room is easier to get through. Not surprisingly, there are a lot of spikes in this level, too.

Guess what? As soon as you climb up the first set of ladders, you'll have to deal with those stupid disappearing blocks again! They're not any easier this time, and you'll have to go through trial and error with this stage in order to see which blocks show up when. Take the bottom path on the second set of blocks so you don't have a hard time.

The black Mega Man clones that show up quickly move back and forth and become somewhat of a menacing annoyance. Thankfully, they go down in one hit.

Plug Man will fire electric balls that move along the floor, climb up the wall and fall down on you from the ceiling. This is easy to avoid, but if he corners you, you won't have much room to maneuver. The Jewel Satellite really helps in that regard, and you can also send it flying at Plug Man to do the most damage.

Beating Plug Man will award you the Plug Ball.
