PrinceWatercress plays The Wizard of Oz for Super Nintendo - Part 10 of 14

Indigo Palace brings out the second-hardest ticket to acquire. You can tell I don't like that stage just for that reason.

Indigo Palace

The biggest challenge is figuring out what you can and cannot stand on as you make your way to the top of the stage, while dealing with enemies such as nutcrackers, flying monkeys, toy soldiers.

The moving clock hands on the clocks will hurt to the touch.

The big purple hourglasses can be used as platforms at the start, while the smaller hourglasses situated in mid-air also work as platforms but will empty out and fall shortly after you land on them...so finish your business on the smaller ones quickly! If you have to get them to respawn, you have to move the location where they appeared off the screen in order to get them to re-appear again.

The pink guards near the end (and the rest of the stage, really) can all be taken out in one hit with The Tin Man. Apparently he is stronger than the other characters.

As for the blue Ticket at the end, You have to position yourself just below the left-hand exit arrow, Stand at the edge, then jump to the left. You will complete the level and grab it at the same time. If you mess this up, you have to go through the entire level again to get another shot at it, which means trying really hard not to screw up your jumps so that you aren't forced to use other characters to tank hits to make up for lost ground.

When you complete the stage, you'll meet The Wicked Witch of the West again. Funny how we've gone this far through the game and this is only the second time we've seen her. She will tell you that you are in the wrong castle if you're looking for her.

It should also be mentioned that the bricks you will find here, as rare as they are, are of the purple variety rather than the blue. Hmmmmm...

Cyan City

Yup...it's another village level where you have to make your way to the top and enter doors to find bricks and . The water faucets and the bluebirds make another appearance, as do the walking patio tables.

After that jump up the tall chimney, it won't be long until you're done. Thankfully, there are no more blue Tickets to pick up.

Blue/Purple Border

It's another border crossing. If you used the maze trick from the first level to get 99 blue bricks, getting through here is a snap. Be sure to write down the password you get at the end.
