NintendoCapriSun plays Mega Man 9 - Part 4 of 9

"Minute Maid instant rice." Not sure if I'd like fruit flavor in my rice, but it's probably worth giving a shot.

Hornet Man

The mine carts that move around can do good damage with the rocks that it tosses, so avoid those.

The plants are homing missiles that slowly move towards you. You can shoot the plant down, but in order to get rid of them for good and stop them from respawning, you'll have to shoot down the flower pot.

Shoot the rolled up part of the extending platforms to get them to extend.

The two garden shear blades will fly forward, then come directly at you. At least they go down in one hit. If you don't destroy either of them, they combine into a pair of garden shears and rush to the right side of the screen.

The green cannons that shoot the balls will help you go down vertical segments, as the balls will destroy the bricks.

You'll soon meet the mid-boss. Avoid falling into the spike pit, and also avoid touching the chain of flowers that spins around. Shoot down the flower that pops in and out of the platforms with the arm cannon.

To beat Hornet Man, equip the Magma Bazooka and shoot at him. Hornet Man has a pretty easy pattern: jump up and float, shoot three hornets that home in on you, drop back down, run to the other side of the room, lather, rinse, repeat. The Magma Bazooka not only does the most damage, but it really does a number on the hornet salvos.

Beating Hornet Man gives you the Hornet Chaser. This only shoots one hornet, however, but you can use it to retrieve items from a distance.

Splash Woman

Well, it had to happen, didn't it? We finally have a female Robot Master. Then again, mermen don't really seem that exciting, and you don't hear about them very often.

Don't shoot the mines with the spikes in the corners or get too close to them.. If you do, they'll turn red, get mad and follow you around. They're pretty fast.

The red and white drums are octopi that spit balls at you. When you get close enough, they'll pop their heads out and spit at you. Shoot them in the head.

Watch out with the vertical drop shortly after the start. You'll have to dodge spikes.

Watch out for the torpedo robots that shoot out from the left side of the screen.

At the second drop-off section, take the right path. There aren't as much spikes, and you can hug the left wall to refill your health if you need to.

The green robots that hug the walls will vertically track you and shoot at you. Their explosive spheres split into a six-way shot that goes both up and down, which will take some slight effort to avoid.

You'll soon reach a section where you'll have to ride on bubbles to get to the top and continue with the level. Wave Man's stage from the fifth game, anyone? The bigger bubbles are slower, but they have more surface area and you'll have an easier time landing on those than the smaller ones, which are much faster. Just watch out for the torpedoes, which start shooting out from the right side of the screen near the top.

The platforms come out of the wall will travel in one direction and then suddenly disappear. The water will empty from them when they travel out of the wall, and when they're empty, they'll disappear.

You'll soon meet Splash Woman. Equip the Hornet Chaser and avoid the fish that she summons with her singing. When she rises to the top of the stage, get away from her so you don't get gored from above with her downward stab or shot at by her Laser Trident.

Beating Splash Woman gives you the Laser Trident. This shoots a trident forward. It's pretty fast and can go through enemies with shields.
