And now, the game is in full swing. This is where you'll really start figuring out who to use and when.
Scene 1: Bungle in the Jungle
"The Adventures of Dirk Rugger VII"
Use Yakko to push the crate, then use Dot to charm the bird off the swinging platform so you can use it. Hit the fuse on the cannon with Wakko's hammer, then jump in and skip part of the stage.
Go right and switch to Dot, then blow a kiss to the stagehand who is walking back and forth. Freeze him in place so that you can leap up to the ledge above.
Jump on the mechanical walker to activate it, and dodge the lights. To avoid the low-hanging lights, whack the red button at the front with Wakko's hammer.
In the next section, jump onto the boat. Jump when the gator comes after you, and time it so that he won't bite you. Leap from one lighting rig to another in order to collect some more stars. Whack the elephants' trunks with Wakko's hammer whenever the mechanical elephant comes out of the water. Switch to Yakko, and hit Ralph (the security guard) with the paddleball twice to get rid of him.
You'll then come across a waterfall. Get off the boat and jump on the logs, then leap all the way to the right to avoid the drill below. Go all the way down and jump on the switch. You'll be able to find some stars on the way up, as well as a clock that you can pick up to add time to the timer.
The next section is a mine cart ride. Switch to Wakko and hit the switches on the cart to choose which branch you want to travel when you reach a fork in the road. The one you hit will glow blue.
The golden Warner head gives you an extra life. Also, if the background is supposed to be scenery and this all obviously take place in a movie studio, why are the clouds moving in the background? Weird.
In the next section, use Wakko's hammer to hit the higher end of the see-saw. When you reach the boulders, jump on top of them, as it's the only way to clear the spike pit. (Beware, some of the boulders are Ralph rolled up into a ball.)
The disappearing platforms in the next section will disappear and reappear in certain places and certain times. Learn the pattern before you proceed. If you leap for the meat and keep moving right during your jump, you'll find out that the clouds hint at hidden platforms which are revealed when you stand on them. From there, pull the crate with Yakko, then break the two grey stone blocks with Wakko to lower the boulder that's blocking your path.
The geysers will lift you up to areas that you couldn't normally reach.
Hit the second switch before the exit to open the door.
To beat Ralph, hit the see-saws with Wakko's hammer so that the rocks hit Ralph at the upper level. Be sure to stay from Ralph's bombs when they explode.
When Pinky and the Brain show up, be ready to switch to Yakko. Ralph will show up in the lower level and try to catch them in a net (and hit you in the process), and you'll want to hit him with the paddleball to get him back to the upper level.
After enough damage, you'll get the hat.
