HCBailly plays Terranigma - Part 33 of 75

New twists! New turns! New computer, because the quality is better now that HCBailly has one in this entry!

Loire and Storkolm maps by Amir Azadur. World map by Tropicon.

Storkolm

The wolves will bark if you talk to them. They won't bother you anymore.

Head to the entrance of what is the Weaver's cottage. You'll trigger a a cutscene where Ark is reminded of home and Meilin wants to know more about Ark.

If you look into any of the other buildings, you won't be able to enter them.

Go ahead and leave the town. You'll automatically be whisked back to the World Map. Head back to the castle and go back to the interview room. You'll meet up with Meilin again. She'll take the Portrait so that she can remember the faces of this world's Elle's parents. From there, enter the throne room and talk to the king. You'll be teleported to Storkolm, and Princess Elle's parents show up. The King fesses up to killing everyone in the town as the images of Elle's parents awaken the eyes of her soul and cause her to speak again.

You'll be back in the throne room, and Elle will know the truth. The King will cancel the interviews and throw you out of the castle, telling you to wait at the inn.

You'll then meet up with Meilin again. She'll tell you King Henri went pale. You'll both automatically head to the inn. You'll get a cutscene where the elder will tell you that the world of humans is still in its infancy, and that you'll need to revive "the geniuses" in order to make humanity grow. He'll tell you to cross the mountans and head south, where "a genius bearing a babe to the sea "needs your help. You'll then wake up at the inn, wondering if it was a dream.

Loire

Leave the room, and the woman at the counter will tell you to be careful if you're going out, as the king has suddenly died, supposedly from illness, but there are rumors that the king was killed. If you talk around, you'll find out the king's death is indeed truth. Keinz will tell you that the king's death signals change and that growth depends on the new leader now that the doors to free economy are open. From here on out, you can do things for the town that will allow it to expand and prosper, and become even more advanced that it is now. That's right...there's town expansion in this game, and it can be rewarding if you can pull it off.

If you read the message board, you'll see a message from Jean saying that the king's death puts an end to the old ways, and that it is time for like-minded people to discuss the future of Loire.

Also, Louis is no longer a drunk and has started reading books. If you talk to him, you'll find out that he is aware of what's going on and that he plans to atone for his sins in this new age. You'll also see some people gathering near the well. Jean throws his hat in the ring for the first elected leader, and Louis provides the opposition. Jean the holds an election, and allows for a recess so that people can decide who to pick. Jean wants to use taxes the King held to develop the town, while Louis wants everyone to make and share what they need equally without favor. In other words, Jean favors capitalism while Louis favors communism. Who's going to win this?
