Unlike Pink Hour, you have to pay money to get this one...but this game is pretty good.
When you begin the game, you'll shoot at a bunch of black blobs. One of them will drop down when you shoot at them, so be careful. When you destroy all the blobs, you'll light up the title, the phone will ring, and you'll be able to start the game.
This time, you'll play as Kero. The story begins with the President of C&F Inc. yelling at you. She's angry again, as there's been nothing but trouble recently. You'll then teleport to the first stage, Hinterland Fort, to perform your Custodial Sciences services.
Stage 1: Hinterland Fort
Controls are the same as in Pink Hour. So that's out of the way.
You still have the two hit points (for now), but you can also pick up coins from enemies when you defeat them.
The brown plants are easy to deal with. They jump up and spit a projectile downwards, but you can also destroy the projectiles. Later, you'll run into a variation of them that
Be sure to destroy things in the environment such as plants and spikes, as you can get coins while clearing out paths.
Sometimes you'll see discoloration in certain areas, especially near the teleporters.
To open treasure chests, simply keep shooting at them until they open.
Whenever you enter a new section, you'll trigger a checkpoint. You'll return there if you lose a life.
The "CF" logo is the C&F Inc. Store. There, you can refill your health for a small fee as well increase your maximum health, buy 1-ups for a hefty price, and even buy a Heart Jar which will revive you one time only if you die. You can also upgrade your weapons to make them more powerful, assuming you have the coinage.
The orange plants will spit projectiles into the air, and they will come your way when they do. Even worse, they also jump back and forth, making them harder to hit. Don't forget that you can move backwards while firing.
The purple snakes will pop out of the ground when you get close enough to them, allowing you to be able to shoot them.
There's a secret passageway shortly after you starting seeing the walking spitting plants. The bricks with the slight holes in them are holes you can move through. Use that to get the seemingly unreachable treasure chest.
You'll eventually take on your first boss: some armored plant that seems to be a bigger, armored version of the orange and green plants and jump back and forth while spitting projectiles upwards that always come your way. It starts out with a salvo of fireballs that come down, then it shows up. It will then shoot fireballs upwards. Avoid them (and shoot them down if you need to) and shoot at the exposed bulbs. When it reaches half health, its armor will turn red and will attack more aggressively. Keep up the attack and it will eventually go down.
Your reward for beating this boss is the Fan, which has a wider spread and can be used underwater. This weapon will prove useful.
The next room is the teleporter. Shoot down the black blobs with the red eyes to activate it, then go in.
You'll head back to the president's office, and you'll find out she's gotten much larger than the last time you met her. You may have noticed the black blob under glass behind her in the beginning cutscene. It's a bit larger now. There are also flies moving around, and the president is in an even worse mood.
When you go down the elevator, your co-workers will give you a Heart Jar. Take care not to die, as it revives you for one time only when you do. After that, you'll have to buy another one...and they don't come cheap.
Next stop: Greenery Zone.
