I'm finally covering a Sega Saturn game? Well, blow me down!
After that really nifty cutscene that takes over half the video but nonetheless does a really good job explaining the story (and it still looks good), we finally kick this bad boy off!
Episode 1
Holding the fire button down lets you power-up your gun and also lock on to multiple targets. Just move the cursor onto some enemies while you've got the fire button held down and you'll be able to auto-target them.
It should be noted that running into obstacles is not awesome and you will take damage.
You can use the shoulder buttons to look left and right, and even directly behind you. Use the radar on the upper-left hand corner to see if any enemies are headed your way.
Those large orange and purple flower-like things on the surface on the water cannot be destroyed or locked onto, and they clap onto you like a Venus Flytrap. Just stay away from them.
You'll enter a building, and then come to the end of it pretty quickly. You'll then see enemy fire shoot straight through the ceiling, and it's just you, the ocean...and the boss: a giant warship.
Shoot at the bottom of the warship, and take out any of the drones that it sends at you. You'll be able to lock onto the bottom of the ship, but shoot at it with a combination of regular and lock-on shots.
The ship will also send out submarines that come at you from behind as well as missiles that home in on you...so use those shoulder buttons! This will be easy practice for getting used to looking around, as you'll be doing this with other bosses.
When you deplete the enemy's HP gauge on the top of the screen, you've done it. But this is just the first episode...and it's gonna be more epic from here...
