Our adventure comes to an end...and it's been quite a fun one.
Level 7
Switch to the bomb. It will allow you to take down the miner robots as well as blow up the light-colored blocks when fully charged.
Some parts of the ceiling will fall down when you get close enough to them, so watch where you're going. They are always indicated by the three dark blocks side-by-side on the ceiling.
The robot enemies take two hits from fully-charged bomb shots to kill. To get the hearts above you, just blow up the tiles below them.
For the second section, there will be columns of walls that slowly move upwards or downwards. Be ready to quickly blow holes in the walls, as blocks can re-spawn. Make sure the holes are big enough too, so you don't get crushed.
The dark-colored robots take one hit from a bomb attack to kill.
When you suddenly see a gap in the ceiling, the ceiling will slowly move up and down in an attempt to crush you. Be ready to move to gaps and stay in them to avoid getting crushed. After a while, the ceiling will stop, but then the ceiling and floor will move simultaneously. After a while, it will stop. Move all the way to the right to avoid being crushed one final time.
You'll then face the boss: a robot with a hammer. Keep the bomb equipped and keep hitting the blocks in the center of the screen so that they hit him while avoiding the ones he sends out at you. Eventually, ladders will drop down, and the both of you will be climbing up and down ladders while sending blocks at each other. As long as you are lower than him part of the time, he won't be too much of a problem.
Level 8
Equip the homing shot. As you move forward, the screen will eventually scroll downwards. Use the homing shots to attack the dino head robots that move towards you, and avoid the spikes on the underside of the platforms as you move around without being crushed. When it gets faster, you're near the end. Eventually, you'll be at the bottom. Use bombs to destroy the robots.
The columns with the triangles are conveyor belts that send your upwards. Be ready to dodge things and switch columns to avoid being hit by spikes of both the floor and ceiling variety. Be ready to keep the bat form handy to clear long gaps between these columns. There will also be a heart in a box that will fully heal your health along the way if you can grab it.
In the third section, watch the ceiling. When the drills rotate quickly, get away from under them to avoid being hit from above. Use the bombs to destroy the crabs that move up and down on the tracks in the background, and watch out for the crabs' fireballs as well as the floor and ceiling segments that move in and out, sometimes creating bottomless pits.
You'll then see drills trying to move towards you to crush you from above. Outrun the first one, then play chicken with the second one. Get over the second one when it hits the ground and keep moving right so the first one doesn't get you afterwards.
To beat the alien mini-boss, equip the bomb and shoot at it while avoiding the fireballs. The alien will jump up and down as it moves. After beating it, switch to the umbrella and walk forward with it in front of you. The aliens won't be able to hurt you, and they will die when they hit the ceiling.
After you get through that hallway, switch to the normal shot. You'll finally meet Garamoth. Stay under him through out the battle so his beams don't hit you. When you see an orb on the left hand, move right to avoid getting blasted, then throw a charged-up fireball into his mouth when it opens and run away so the fireball he spits doesn't hit you. An orb will be on the right hand; move left to avoid getting blasted. Throw another charged-up fireball in Garamoth's mouth when it opens and run away from the fireball. From here, the attack pattern repeats.
When you beat the first phase, you'll start the second. Switch to the bat attack and charge it up. Athis point, Galamoth will jump back and forth, and stay close to his hand as he jumps around. When he is at the far side of the screen, he will make a big jump with his mouth open. When he does this, hit him in the mouth with the bat attack. Sometimes his jumps will slow down a bit, but you can still beat him if you don't get too cocky. Eventually, Garamoth will go down, and you'll beat Kid Dracula.
