PrinceWatercress plays Kid Dracula - Part 3 of 4

Level 5

As soon as you leap onto the platform at the beginning, the level begins. Equip the homing shot and be ready to jump on platforms.

The robots just move back and forth on the platforms. Just charge up the homing shot to take care of them. Ditto with the guys on the jetpacks.

You'll eventually land on another big platform, and this will take you to the top. Keep the homing shot equipped and use it to take out the UFOs as well as the aliens that drop down for a bunch of coins. You'll then face the guy you saw on the bat television earlier.

To beat this guy, keep the homing shot equipped. When he moves forward, jump up and shoot the shot upwards. He will leap. Stay away from him and duck the laser he shoots. Keep doing this until he loses his head. When that happens, equip the bomb. Wait for him to come towards you before jumping back. When he lands on the ground, throw a bomb where the head should be. An alien pops out, and you'll want to hit him in the head with a bomb. When he throws bombs, stay to the right and jump over the explosion made by the last bomb. Keep hitting the alien until the armor blows up, then destroy the alien for a large Ebisumaru coin (a reference to the Ganbare Goemon series) worth 20 coins.

Level 6

You'll now be on another planet, which means you get another world map.

Watch out for the fireballs that leap in and out of the fire pits. The fireballs with the angry faces can be destroyed, but you don't necessarily have to do it. You can also destroy the regular fireballs, but they will soon come back. Be careful when walking on ceilings, especially when the Gradius fire arches shoot out of the fire pits. Some of them shoots out three times in quick succession before allowing to pass by.

When you see the volcano in the background, equip the umbrella. Thankfully, it will be selected automatically when you enter the second section, as if it is some sort of clue as to what you need to do here. Charge it up to use it. Duck down to avoid the rocks, and use it to push the flame dog enemies out of your way.

For the third section, switch to the homing shot. Use the homing shot to take out the dog enemy as its runs left before jumping into the flame s while creating enemies. Some sections of the floor will sink down from time to time. Use these dropped segments to duck under the boss as it moves, then let loose with the homing shots. You should be able to take out the regular enemies, too. In case you can't duck down in a pit in the floor, you can still move forward and jump over the boss. Get away from the boss when it blows up so it doesn't hurt you after splitting into multiple smaller dogs that fly upwards.
