PrinceWatercress plays Terranigma - Part 4 of 50

Now that we've gotten some of the people unfrozen, it's time to take care of some more business with two more towers.

Tower 3

Northeast of Tower 2 is Tower 3. (That's north of Crysta, for those not aware.)

Blocks will slowly create a bridge leading into the expansive hallway that is mostly bottomless pit. If you land in there, you'll lose a little bit of health and then come back. This is where you'll start learning to jump from platform to platform.

The blocks leading to the staircase to the second floor will fall down as you cross. If you stand on one of the bridge blocks and drop into the pit from there, however, you'll be able to pick up a Magirock.

To get the chest on the stairway leading up to the second floor, go to the lower-left corner of that area. If you fiddle around with the Control Pad for a bit, you'll find out that you can walk between two of the blocks and get the chest there. Inside is another S.Bulb.

On the third floor, watch out for the spears that pop out of the wall.

The four switches control the blocks that lead to the right side of the floor. You'll have to position the blocks carefully so that you can cross them all to the other side without much effort. The blocks are pretty narrow, too, so be careful when crossing.

Use the jumping slide attack to take down the ghosts in the wall known as Guardners.

If the numbers that pops up when you deal damage to an enemy flashes, it means you scored a critical hit.

Be sure to check the lower-left and lower-right corners of the fourth floor to get the Sleepless Seal and a Magirock, respectively. The Sleepless Seal prevents enemies from putting you to sleep. Believe it or not, despite being like Illusion of Gaia, this game has status ailments.

When you open the switches to open the door to the fifth floor, you'll fight those sphere monsters again. Apparently, they're called Huballs. You should be able to tackle them with ease by now.

On the fifth floor, you won't be able to open the door. Go south from the door, and you'll hear the Guardian's voice again. You've got another challenge, and this time you'll fight three High Cadets. You'll have to hit one to figure out which one is real. If it's real, you'll do some damage. If it's fake, you'll have to fight it off before the three High Cadets show up again. Once you hit the real one enough times, you'll complete the challenge. There isn't much of a way to tell which one is real, so you'll just have to guess. Thankfully, this shouldn't be so hard unless your luck is just terrible.

You'll finally be able to go into the door to the north and enter the resurrection room. You'll get a cutscene of the moon rising. Africa will then be resurrected, and more villagers of Crysta will be unfrozen.

Go north of Tower 3 and go to the center of the northern peninsula. Make a mental note of this area, as you'll need to go over here later.

Tower 4

No sooner do you enter Tower 4 that you'll run into the Guardian again. You'll fight three Cadets again, and this time you won't have to worry about hitting the right one. They'll also be good practice for the rest of the Cadets on the first floor, which drop gold bars - which means more gems - on the regular. The soul here will tell you that sometimes, you will have to take bold chances.

That bold chance is heading to the northern end of the first floor and dropping down into the pit, leading to the first basement. Don't let the Guardner suck you into a vacuum. If that happens, you'll be returned directly to the entrance of the tower.

There is treasure in the upper part of the first basement, but you won't be able to reach it quite yet. Instead, you'll have to travel down the four pits in the corners. Each one takes you to a different area, with the one in the lower-right corner taking you straight to the end. Explore the other three first; they let you access other parts of the second basement floor where you can fight more monsters - such as the red Huballs - for experience, as well as the stairs leading back up to the first basement where you can find a Magirock as well as a chest containing 44 gems.

To the left of the staircase from where you entered is a staircase leading to another staircase that leads up to the second floor. Explore the area for another Magirock (#10!) by crossing the ropes. You'll also find a M.Bulb and a Life Potion. Using the Life Potion will increase your maximum HP by 5 points, while the M.Bulb will refill even more health than the S.Bulb.

Cross the upper rope, go to the middle, press Up and wait for Ark to drop down. You'll go back down to the first floor, and you'll return to where you dropped to the first basement. Now you can use the pit in the lower-right corner. From there, follow the path and you'll end up in the top floor. (The pit you'll see along the way takes you back to where you dropped down to the first basement earlier.)

Be sure to explore the top floor, because you'll find a room in the upper-left corner of the floor that has a chest containing the Crystal Thread. You'll need this for later, so pick it up. Be sure to look around for Magirock #11 before you approach the door leading to the resurrection room. When you approach it, you'll be in a room containing the Dancing Huball Troupe. Attack the brown Huball at the end, then kill it. Continue this until the troupe is destroyed. Wait for a while, and the battle will eventually be over and you'll be taken out of the room. You can then enter the doorway to resurrect North America after seeing a starry sky above what looks like the Grand Canyon. More of the villagers will be unfrozen.

Crysta

Here, I buy the Hex Rod, though I don't equip it yet due to the CryStaff still being useful for healing while I'm still going through the towers.
