With the clue bottles for Episode 2 out of the way, it's time to get back to work, get Tennessee's gun back and make Toothpick's life miserable.
Cooper For Hire
You'll need to play as Bentley to get this job started.
If you hold Triangle behind an enemy as Bentley and approach the loot pocket, you can place a bomb in the loot pocket. From there, you can detonate the bomb and get rid of the enemy in one hit. Just don't be too close. This works best with the Sleep Bomb.
When you make it to the job marker, you'll get down to business. The first thing you'll need to do is get Tennessee Kid Cooper's gun back, and to do that, you'll have to enter an abandoned gold mine turned storage facility and find it. To decrease the chances of arousing suspicion, Bentley disguises himself in order to plant a beacon at the entrance. From there, Murray will have to use his skills to get the entrance open so Tennessee Kid can get in.
From here, you'll be following Toothpick to the entrance of the storage facility. Stay close, but not too close, and use your environment as cover so Toothpick does not spot you whenever he stops moving. When you reach the train tracks, you'll find the entrance. Before Bentley can hack his way in, scorpions show up, and Murray and Tennessee Kid show up. Murray has to man the guns to kill the scorpions. Aim with the left stick and shoot with R1. Watch the gauge at the bottom so you don't overheat the gun.
You'll then have another tank hacking section. This time, you'll get the blue tank, which moves around faster and allows for projectiles that ricochet off walls and can hit enemies from blind corners. This really helps against the orange turrets, as they can be merciless. If you see any flashing hexagons, hold R2 while driving around it to get rid of it and unlock a door leading to more of the section.
The spinning electric barriers will hurt you, so move on when they are out of the way. The red vortexes will do heavy damage and will suck you in, so keep your distance. As for the red lasers that move back and forth, watch how they move around before continuing.
You'll soon come across a red hexagon-shaped tank with hexagon-shaped additions rotating around it. The center part is the main part and weak spot, but getting rid of the other hexagons has to be done first. Once the core is on its own, it will shoot shots that soon split into three. Watch the shots as you keep firing at it, and it will eventually go down.
After this, you'll be done with the hacking section and Tennessee Kid will be able to get into the storage facility (complete with a Raiders of the Lost Ark reference).
From here, you're in control of Tennessee Kid Cooper, who will immediately get his gun out of the nearby display case. From here, hold L1 to aim at the door ahead, then move the right analog stick to aim the gun at targets and press R1 to shoot. Thankfully, all you need to do here is just shoot at the door.
You'll soon see a laser field and a green button that Tennessee will have to aim at and shoot. Once you shoot the button, the laser field will be gone. As you move through the vault, you'll have to fight spiders. Also, keep your distance when shooting TNT barrels out of the way.
You'll eventually reach a tougher door that requires the Crackshot technique. Hold R2 to enter Crackshot mode, then aim at targets with the right stick. If a red skull and crossbones symbol shows up on something, you've aimed at something you can shoot at. When you have up to six targets ready to shoot at once, let go of R2 to blow them all away. Just aim at the five circles on the door and you'll be able to blast them all quickly and easily. Thankfully, Matrix/Max Payne-style bullet time will kick in while you are aiming with Crackshot. This ability does use the special energy meter at the bottom of Tennessee's health meter, and focusing with Crackshot Mode will slowly drain it. In order to use Crackshot again after using it, you'll have to wait for the gauge to fill back up.
From here, you'll have to rail slide down the tracks and avoid the electricity with Left and Right on the left stick and the X button. Make sure you don't run into any rocks, either. When you reach the end, you'll have to deal with some guards. Use your environment as cover when needed and use the Crackshot technique to make it easier to shoot enemies.
Look around and shoot TNT barrels as you take down enemies and get through this area. One set of barrels hides a Sly Mask (see below).
You'll eventually have to blast open another vault door with the Crackshot technique, and after that, you'll have to do some more rail sliding and jumping, as well as aiming at a door with Crackshot. Before that blast door, there are some crates that require the Crackshot technique to break. Behind them is a Sly Mask.
There will be times when you have to hold R2 to use Crackshot on the rails to blast things. Just like when you're not on rails, you will bullet time working on your side.
If you're aiming with R1, you can press Square to whack enemies at close range.
When you reach the end, Toothpick will find out that the gun is missing and grow to at least twice his normal size in anger. This job is complete.
Saloon Bug
You'll have to play as Sly to star this job.
Toothpick's office is in the upper level of the saloon. To figure out what he is up to, we must plant a big in his office. Bentley also mentions that Toothpick is also looking for a new bartender and that he will be going into the saloon in disguise and supplying his own homemade sarsaparilla recipe that is so full of sugar that the guards will have a sugar crash. From there, Sly will be able to plant the RC car in the air vents, and Bentley will be able to control it.
Once you get to the saloon roof, you'll start the job immediately, Bentley will enter from the double doors as a bartender while Sly sneaks in through a window.
You'll control Bentley in a mini-game. Use the left analog stick to move left and right, and press X to slide a drink forward. The flashing white lines will dictate where you are at the bar. You'll have to throw thirty beers at the bull guards who are the table, and the speech bubbles under them will show you how many drinks they need and how long they've been waiting. Send them the right number - some may want two, and others three - and don't keep them waiting too long, or else you'll have to start over. Also, don't miss. You'll only have a limited amount of glasses - as shown in the lower-right - before you are unable to serve anybody and you fail the job as a result.
After throwing thirty drinks forward and getting rid of the guards, it's Sly's turn. Stay on the high road and off the floor, and watch out for the spotlights. If you want, you can smash the bottles in the crawlspace for a few coins. When you get to the "casino" sign, switch to the Jailbird costume and break the sign with the ball and chain.
From here, you need to get to the ventilation shaft. To get there you'll have to take the high road to a boiler and hit it with the ball and chain from the Jailbird costume. Once you move the boiler into place on the path that you're conveniently provided with, you can climb on the boiler, then climb on the neon lighting. You'll eventually land on a wooden beam directly across from where the vent shaft is. Spire jump onto the blades of the ceiling fan, then jump directly to the vent to plant the RC car. From here, Bentley is in control.
If you need to, get to ground level and take out the guards with Silent Obliteration to make things easier. You'll actually need to do this to find the Sly Mask on ground level in this section of the saloon (see below).
The controls for the RC car are just like they were in Episode 1. Watch out for lasers, and be ready to shoot down bottles and spiders. There are forks in the road, but it does not matter which path you take as they all lead to Toothpick's office in the end. You'll find out that Toothpick has plans to crush Sly Cooper before taking the loot back to the present-day. Also, Toothpick inadvertently shoots and murders somebody. Again.
This job is done. From here on out, you can eavesdrop on everything Toothpick is saying in the hideout.
