PrinceWatercress plays Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time - Part 10 of 48


In this entry, Carmelita appears! We get to save her, but then she has to save the Cooper Gang afterwards with help from Tennessee Kid. Wild.


Blind Date

You'll need to play as Tennessee Kid to get this job started.

Tennessee Kid's stealth kill has Tennessee Kid smacking the enemy in the back.

As soon as you make it to the job marker, you'll find out that Toothpick's goons have kidnapped Inspector Carmelita Fox. She's here in the old West, but how...and why?

When you make it to the next marker, you'll find out that the bridge is out...and Toothpick is about to send her on a stagecoach to her death. You'll need to use the Crackshot technique to blow up everything that is explosive in order to clear a path, then wait for the obstacle in your path to blow up so you can rail slide to the next section while avoiding all of the live electricity, then keep doing it again until you rescue Carmelita.

Along the way, you'll have to deal with enemies throwing dynamite at you. The first set of enemies can be taken care of quickly with the Crackshot technique, and if you can take out 10 enemies in 65 seconds or less, you can get the "Ancient Warfare 3" trophy.

You'll need to shoot down valves to turn off some flames so that the stagecoach doesn't catch on fire, too. Strangely, the flames don't set the stagecoach on fire; it just pushes the stagecoach off the edge into the river.

After doing this for long enough, you'll eventually save Carmelita, who then finds out that the Cooper Gang is here. Unfortunately, the gang runs right into an ambush and gets captured by Toothpick and his men.

Jail Break

The good news is, Carmelita is now a part of the team and can be selected. The bad news is, you can't pick anyone from the Cooper Gang until you complete this job, which once again has to be started by Tennessee Kid.

Once you make your way down to the raging river where the job marker will be, Carmelita will show up a raft. The river leads back to the prison where the Cooper Gang is being held, but you'll have to brave the river and get past the defenses Toothpick has set up in order to get there.

As Tennessee Kid moves the lever to push the raft forward, you'll be playing as Carmelia and shooting things down. Here, Carmelita will have her shock pistol automatically out and in aim mode. All you have to do is aim with the right analog stick and shoot with R1. Holding L1 allows you to lock onto an enemy. Pay attention to the red arrows, as they show where the nearest enemy is. If you see a wall with a yellow indicator on it, shoot it down to destroy it so you can continue down the river.

While the bulls have the Gatling guns, the jackalopes are the worst enemies to deal with, as you'll have to shoot down both them and the dynamite that they throw at you so the raft can hold up.

After a while, you'll take control of Tennessee Kid Cooper again. You'll need to use the Crackshot technique to shoot down obstacles and enemies and also shoot down buttons so you can get past a laser field. You'll eventually find a lever; pull it, and get back to the raft, where you'll have to destroy some more enemies and another barricade before playing another Tennessee Kid section which plays more or less like the first one. Pulling the lever at the end allows you to open up another barricade allowing you to get back on the river.

Before sliding down the rail to the raft, go down the rope near the edge to find a Sly Mask. Just jump to the rocks past the gap in the river to get it.

For the third raft section, you'll need to shoot down some TNT barrels in addition to barricades and enemies. Thankfully, this part is the easiest. You'll then have to get into the prison and free the Cooper Gang as Tennessee Kid while Carmelita covers him. You'll need to jump from one mine cart to another to get to where you can shoot down the locks on the cage imprisoning the Cooper Gang. To make matters worse, the jackalope enemies with the dynamite keep spawning infinitely. The quicker you get through this, the better.

Afterwards, Carmelita is still ticked with Sly while showing more interesting in Tennessee Kid, then explains how she got here once everyone gets back to the hideout. After the Cooper Gang escaped the museum, Carmelita searched the museum and found a load of stolen treasure, with Cyril de Paradox - a billionaire art collector with a criminal record who has since gone legit - off-loading them. By the time she drew her gun, however, Cyril's men surrounded her, and she ended up in the old West. Not surprisingly, Carmelita still does not believe Sly.
