MadamLuna makes DeceasedCrab play Deadly Towers - Part 9 of 9

Worst. Finale. Ever.

To beat Rubas, use the Blue Necklace, then hammer away at him. The Blue Necklace makes you invincible to all of Rubas' attacks, and guessing by the fact there's only one in the game and only two ways to get it, it's perfectly understandable. There. There you go. It's over.

MadamLuna makes DeceasedCrab play Deadly Towers - Part 8 of 9

SPLENDOR!

All maps by StarFighters76.

Well, the Great Wing's Tower is all that's left.

Great Wing's Tower

If you haven't gotten the Blue Necklace already, do it now. It's located in a secret room inside another secret room.

Hit the Great wing from the left corner. He's less likely to hit you there (I'm guessing).

Grab the bell and get out.

Overworld

We've got all the bells, so let's burn them all. Rubas's tower will then show up, and we'll have to use the Green Scroll to skip all the way over to the beginning of the game to get there.

Rubas's Tower

When you reach the entrance, you'll find the final (and most powerful) sword in the game. It's called "Splendor!" Yes, that's actually what it's called.

When you enter, you'll fight a blue Centipede (same as the other one), followed by two demon heads that just might kill you if you don't stay on the move. Then...there's Rubas. He'll have to wait for next time...

Two more towers, then we have just one more to go...

All maps by StarFighters76.

After taking down all those bosses, DeceasedCrab heads to Dungeon #7. Why? You'll see.

Dungeon #7

Go get a Green Drink from the store near the entrance. These recover 200 HP, and are available as soon as you beat three of the towers. Also, go get a Green Scroll as well as an Orange Scroll while you're at it. Green warps you to the starting point of the game and Orange warps you to the screen with the Holy Flame.

The Cup gives you full Ludder when you use it. Of course, it's a one-shot deal, so use it when you really need to (and you probably won't, with the equipment you've got). There is another Cup that is in the stores, but you're better off avoiding it as this will take away and all Ludder you have.

When you reach the exit, you'll be right across from the Holy Flame. Let's head to the Beat Plant's Tower.

Beat Plant's Tower

Since we've already dealt with getting the Shield of the King, let's head up the tower and beat this thing.

Beat Plant can be beaten just like all the rest: throw swords at it from a corner. Grab the bell and get out.

Overworld

Now that we're done there, let's head to the Centipede's Tower.

Centipede's Tower

The snakes don't appear until you've burned a few of the bells. This is just one of quite a few enemy changes that happen when you burn at least three of the bells (I think).

To beat the Centipede, stay out of his path and fire at him. He doesn't shoot a lot of fireballs like the other bosses, so you should be all right.

MadamLuna makes DeceasedCrab play Deadly Towers - Part 6 of 9

In this installment, we take on two towers for the price of one!

All maps by StarFighters76.

Next up: Death Bear's Tower.

Death Bear's Tower

Two ladders before the boss, go to the left corner. You'll find a hidden room containing the Gauntlets. These let you throw the swords even faster. Equip these before you take on the Death Bear.

Now that you have the Gauntlets equipped, throw swords at the Death Bear until it dies. Seriously, you won't even have time to dodge anything because you're killing it that fast. Grab the bell and get out of there.

Now that we have this out of the way, let's go to the Cold Killer's Tower.

Cold Killer's Tower

The Heart Container, the Cup and the Parallel Zone entrance and exit are all in the same place. The Cup is in the Parallel Zone, the Heart Container is not.

The Cold Killer can be killed like the Great Burn and the Great Wing. You'll just do more damage in less time, because of the Gauntlets. Get the Bell and get out of there.

Well, I was going to toss this sucker in sooner or later. Here you go, guys.

MadamLuna makes DeceasedCrab play Deadly Towers - Part 5 of 9

Two bosses gone already? Well, look at that...

All maps by StarFighters76.

Next stop: the Beat Plant Tower!

Beat Plant Tower

Go to the right as soon as you enter the path to the tower and you'll enter a secret room. Here, you'll find the Shield of the King if the enemies don't gangrape you first. To make sure that doesn't happen, use the Magic Mace. You'll take a bit of damage, but the Magic Mace will kill everything before you can die. The Magic Mace is a one-time use item and damages anything it touches. It also lasts for a limited time only, so once it's gone, it's gone.

Anyway, the Shield of the King is the strongest Shield in the game, so equip it as soon as you get it. Head on out.

Overworld

Next stop is the Great Burn Tower. We're going to get some more stuff over there.

Great Burn Tower

Go straight for the Parallel Zone entrance. Now that you have all of the strongest armor in the game, you won't be taking a lot of damage from the bats that attack you as soon as you enter the Parallel Zone. Go down a few sets of stairs and you'll be able to get the Double Shot. This lets you shoot again in case your first sword misses, and it replaces the Parallel Shot when you equip it. Keep going back to the "start" of the regular zone and go right to hunt for the Parallel Zone exit.

Now that you're back, head back up to the tower (and don't accidentally go into the Parallel Zone again on the way there). Enter the tower, and fight your way to the top. As you do, go to the left on one of the floors to find a secret room...and a sword! This is the Dragon Slayer, and it's much stronger than the sword you started the game with.

To beat the Great Burn, stay at the lower-left corner and throw swords at it. This will be a lot easier with the Dragon Slayer and the Double Shot. When you beat it, you'll be able to get the Bell in the room behind it, get out of here, and take that sucker to the Holy Flame in the overworld.

MadamLuna makes DeceasedCrab play Deadly Towers - Part 4 of 9

We finally get one of the Bells and make some real progress in this game! Yes!

All maps by StarFighters76.

Overworld

Let's head over to the Wheeler's Tower.

Wheeler's Tower

Head up the tower and go inside. Look for the secret room that contains the Magic Mace. This will come into use later.

We won't be using it for what we're about to do, though. Climb to the top of the tower and enter the door to the boss. To beat the Wheeler, simply shoot swords at him from the lower-left corner of the room where he can't stand in front of you, and dodge all the fireballs! When you beat him, you'll be able to get the bell from the room behind him. Grab it and get out. Leave the tower, but don't go back down to the ladder that leads up here yet!

Instead, find the Parallel Zone entrance. It's next to the tower entrance, so it won't be that far away when you exit the tower. From there, go back to where the Heart Container was and you'll find the Parallel Shot. Equip this, since you get to fire two swords at a time instead of one. The only drawback is that if one of them misses, you'll still have to wait for it to leave the screen before you can attack again.

Now that you have one of the Bells, walk into the Holy Flame in the Overworld. You'll burn the bell...and your HP will be fully restored! This will happen anytime you throw a bell into the Holy Flame, which is nice.

MadamLuna makes DeceasedCrab play Deadly Towers - Part 3 of 9

We make the game a lot easier by finding the pieces of the Hyper Armor. It's our only chance to beat the game.

All maps by StarFighters76.

Overworld

To the left of the Holy Flame is the Cold Killer's tower. Let's go there.

Cold Killer's Tower

This isn't like the dungeons at all. Instead, it's a set of slopes you have to walk up in order to reach the door, followed by a series of ladders.

The most annoying enemies here are the ones that stick to the wall and fly to the wall on the other side. Thankfully, they do that at random intervals, so you can just stick around by a wall, look up, and just throw swords at them until they die after they come to you.

You may be wondering what the Parallel Zones are. This is an alternate version of the current area where there are a bunch of ghosts and a few items lying on the ground where there weren't any before. Go ahead and climb down until you see some armor, then grab the armor. Equip it. This is the Hyper Armor, and it's the best armor in the game. You will definitely be needing this.

If you stay at the very corner of a floor, the ghosts won't be able to get you at all. Use this as a safe zone where you can hack away at all the ghosts until they're gone.

Now find the exit to the Parallel Zone and get the hell out of there.

Overworld

This part loops around, so move to the left until you find the Tower of Centipede.

Tower of Centipede

Once again, find the Parallel Zone entrance. Remember where the Heart Container was? Well, the Hyper Helmet is in the same spot. Just grab it, equip it and get out of the tower.

MadamLuna makes DeceasedCrab play Deadly Towers - Part 2 of 9

We get some more items, then head to where the real action is.

All maps by StarFighters76.

Dungeon #4 (continued)

You should definitely buy a Shield, as it can help you take less damage from all the enemies in this game. Ditto for the Chain Helmet.

The room with the fire-breathing cat is the exit. Beat him up, then step into the circle in the center of the room to leave the dungeon.

Overworld

The monster in the cage will steal all of your Ludder if you attack him.

Anyway, since the next dungeon DeceasedCrab covers is Dungeon #7, let's head over there.

Dungeon #7

Get the gloves. You will need these to up your attack speed.

Also, be prepared to fight a bunch of fire-shooting guys in armor as well as a couple of cavemen.

Go ahead and buy the Leather Armor, too.

When you exit Dungeon #7, you'll come out near the Holy Flame. Thi is where you burn all the bells that call out all the monsters, according to the intro. Yippee.

MadamLuna makes DeceasedCrab play Deadly Towers - Part 1 of 9

Oh, dear lord. This game.

All maps by StarFighters76.

By the way, the Japanese name for the game is Mashou.

Yes, that's right. StarFighters76 is saving our asses.

To destroy enemies, simply throw your dagger (sword?) at them until they die. If you see a circle with an L or a star in it, pick it up. It's Ludder, the currency of the game. You can only carry up to 250 Ludder, due to memory restrictions.

The hearts replenish ten of your hit points.

If you see a circle with a heart in it, pick it up. It adds ten points to your maximum HP. In case you die, these things actually respawn, so you can play through the game, keep collecting these things, and get a little bit heartier so that you can be a little more courageous against enemies.

There are armor items in this game. You'll be needing all these things, or else you're going to be miserable while playing this.

Also, yes. You're seeing this right. The dungeon entrances are freaking invisible.

Dungeon #4

The dungeons don't have any specific number (as far as I know), so I'm just using the numbers from StarFighters76's series of maps.

The tower of blobs can be easily defeated as soon as you see it. Once you're on the screen with one, strike it early and keep on bashing away so you can kill all five blobs at the same time. Doing so will give you a ton of pick-ups. Use these blob towers to stock up on Ludder.

If you see a large circle in the center of the floor, step on it. This is the shop, and you can buy some very useful stuff here. Some items are healing items (such as the red potion, which restores 50 HP), while others are equipment that will keep you from getting your butt handed to you (such as the blue scroll, which teleports you to a random room and can take you out of danger, at the expense of possibly getting lost).

The Hyper Boots let you move faster...if you're moving diagonally. That's still useful, since you move painfully slow diagonally without them.
