PrinceWatercress plays Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko - Part 3 of 32

In this entry, we backtrack through the training area and the first level for stuff we missed, then head to a brand new area for more platforming and collect-a-thon fun.

1:35 - I forgot to get the pawprint coin that was here in the long jump training section; this gets rectified.

2:59 - The vault, explained (a little bit). We'll need the other three icons before we can get it to work.

6:24 - The house with the ice crystal on top has a hidden entrance inside if you jump onto the chimney. By doing so, you'll get an extra life and the last bonus coin in Holiday Broadcasting/Totally Scrooged.

10:22 - The entrance to Mystery TV/Clueless In Seattle, the second area we'll be going to.

10:29 - By hitting the statue near the bookcase, you'll open up a hidden passage. Inside is a pawprint coin and the entrance to another bonus stage.

10:52 - Another pawprint coin and another bonus coin...but how to get them...?

11:00 - If you look at this picture of Count Gexula in the first-person view, you'll suddenly turn into a vampire after hearing some laughter. From here, you can hold R2 to glide while in vampire form. From here, you'll have to tail bounce off the top of the couches to the side while the cameras are in arcane angles to reach them, as the camera won't let you line yourself up with the platforms.

14:29 - Now that you're a vampire, you can tail bounce and glide to this pawprint coin from one of the tape machines. That's everything here collected!

16:35 - Let's start another level and go for the three mini-games.

17:08 - By long jumping here, you can reach the first blood cooler. Leaving this here for future reference.

17:45 - TV spiders! Tail whip them to get rid of them. Get used to seeing them throughout the game.

17:56 - A bedroom. You'll have to make a wrap-around tail bounce around to the top of the bed from the mattress to get the pawprint coin here. You can also long jump from the top of the nearby wardrobe, but that is harder to do. Also, hitting the statue here, will turn a bunch of bookcases into a staircase.

19:42 - When you leave this bedroom, you'll get another cutscene which shows that the bear statues in the entrance room have come to life. You'll also see another statue on the way out, and if you hit it, you'll reveal a pawprint coin, but you'll have nine seconds to get it. If you're fast and know where you're going, it's easy to get with about a second or two left.

20:21 - To beat the bears, just keep hitting them with the karate kick from the long jump. That way, you won't get hit.

20:46 - The men with the muskets will shoot at you, and the bullet will follow you for a while before exploding. Also, you can break the windows blocking the flycoins with the tail whip.

21:18 - By standing on the magnifying glass on the floor, pressing Triangle and looking at the mounted bear head through the magnifying glass, you can enter a hidden area. Beat up the ten ten fleas before time runs out. To get the last three, go to the left and bounce over to the top of the head. By getting everything done in time, you can get the bonus coin. Grab it before the timer runs out.

By the way, you can reach the monitors at the top of the bear head if you long jump to them from as close as you can. You'll find two health pick-ups and an extra life there, and you can find a hidden sign from the developers, too.

24:42 - The kitchen. A pawprint coin is in plain sight. By using the magnifying glass on the sink, you'll enter another area where you'll have to dive down and destroy all five bubbles for a bonus coin. There is also a pawprint coin at the bottom; don't forget to pick it up.

27:40 - The bookcase stairway! From here, you can find where the remote will be as well as a room that leads to...

28:45 - ...the rec room and the pool table. Stand on the pool table and look down at the sparkles on the table to shrink down. Hit all the balls for a bonus coin.

30:06 - Agent Xtra's cutscene from getting a remote in Mystery TV/Clueless In Seattle.
