PrinceWatercress plays Bomberman '93 - Part 3 of 7

It's time to head to the fire world, where the enemies get a little bit tougher.

World 3: Planet Inferno

Blastbat is only vulnerable when he lands and attacks.

C-1

The light blue aliens tend to move back and forth, while the spinning blue guys are more likely to turn a corner.

Fruits just give you points.

The green spaces are teleporters.

C-2

The spaces with the grid-like squares on them are grated tiles. These titles nullify your ability to set bombs when you stand on them. If you kick the bombs towards these spaces, the bomb will stop in its tracks before it reaches that space. Explosions can still travel over them, however.

The green guys that face only one direction can go through the destructible rocks.

C-3

The water is now lava.

The tree stump monsters are fairly quick.

The green flying guys can go through the destructible rocks. What's even worse is that if they see you from a couple of space in front of them, their speed will increase and they'll go straight for the kill.

C-4

The explosive enemies are back. This time, they're bombs that run around waving their hands up and down. They, of course, explode like a bomb when you kill them.

The clock freezes enemies for a limited amount of time. Use this time to kill off as many enemies as possible.

The level also gets split into island-like sections in this board, as well as the next. You'll more than likely have to use the temporary invincibility you get from coming out of the teleporters to lay bombs.

C-5

Nothing new here, though it is funny to try to pull off chain combos using the bomb guys.

C-6

Nothing new here, either, it seems. Funny how the enemies are starting to get difficult in this world compared to the last two. Also, if you need a Heart, you'll find one in this stage.

C-7

Nothing new here. Consider this your "putting it all together" stage.

C-8

To beat Lava Bat, wait for him to stop flying around in a figure-eight pattern and land. If he breathes fire on your bomb, it gets rid of it.

His fire breath is a three-way shot after two hits. Remember that his flame breath attack always focuses on you, so if you can, do a bait and switch: leave the bomb close to where you think he'll land, then get his attention so that he can't negate your bomb.

After two more hits, he turns red. Just one more hit and he's out.
