NintendoCapriSun plays Mega Man - Part 4 of 4

We finally tear through this game in record time. Hang on!

Dr. Wily

Stage 4

The first screen has those green robots from Elec Man stage. Wait a while for them to appear, then take them all out when they show up before going up the ladder. You'll be doing this again on the next screen up.

Use the Super Fist to get rid of the blocks so you can get the large weapons pick-up (if you need it) and take care of the spinning turrets with the Thunder Beam.

If you take the low road near the end of the Guts Man-style platform and use the magnet beam, you'll get a 1-Up as well as...the Yashishi. It's an icon that appears in a lot of the early Capcom games for NES. This is the only appearance of it in the entire series, and if you pick it up, all weapons and life will be completely refilled. It's going to be useful for the boss rush here, since you're not going to get any pick-ups in between fights.

First up is Bomb Man. Now that you have Fire Storm, keep hitting him with both the projectiles and the shield that surrounds you when you use it. Beating him without taking damage here is a must. Remember, the same strategies you used on him and the next three bosses still apply.

Next up is Fire Man. Switch to Ice Slasher before you go all the way back to the left and take the teleporter up to his room. Keep the amount of damage you take to a minimum here.

Equip the Thunder Beam, because Ice Man is next. Remember to jump straight up when avoiding his Ice Slasher.

Guts Man is last. Now that you have the Hyper Bomb, throw that around and hope he stays in one place. The Hyper Bomb does a lot more damage than even the regular gun, so it's worth using on him. If you can somehow keep him from jumping towards you, you shouldn't have to worry about taking any damage here at all.

The last room before the door contains a large weapons pick-up at the end, so refill whichever weapon you need to. Dr. Wily is the only enemy you have left, and just like in every other game he has two forms.

For the first form, equip the Fire Storm and hit the cannon that's firing bullets at an 85-degree angle with the Fire Storm shield. You'll be able to do two hits on him instead of one. Using the Select-mashing glitch with the Thunder Beam also works well, but it's faster with Fire Storm.

For the second form, stay right next to him and on the ground. The energy orbs that circle around as they go towards the floor will miss you if you're not airborne at this position. Keep hitting his flying machine in the same area as before with the Fire Shield. Finally, the worst is over. You did it!
