PrinceWatercress plays Un Indien Dans La Ville - Part 5 of 5

Well, we reached the end of this one. It was alright, I suppose.

First | Previous

World 5-1

For this last stage, you'll do some platforming in the jungle one last time.

Shortly after the start, you'll see the monkeys. The monkeys will drop coconuts that will bounce towards you. Since they throw it to the side rather than straight down, the monkeys will not be able to harm you if you stand directly below them. You can jump off the coconuts if you can jump on them without getting hurt.

There is a bridge at the top near the right end of the stage that you can activate for some power-ups, including a 1-Up. From here, keep going left to go to the goal. This is where the monkeys are at their most plentiful - and dangerous - but you can destroy them easily with the blow darts at this point.

World 5-2

You're back to rowing the river, this time in the Amazon. There will be piranhas that will jump in and out of the water much like the fish from World 4. Unlike the fish that can heal you, the piranhas are noticeably bigger.

The crocodiles can be handle just like the buoys in World 4; just shoot straight with a blow dart to defeat them.

Once you reach your dad on the river, you'll get your one-screen ending! Congratulations!

PrinceWatercress plays Un Indien Dans La Ville - Part 4 of 5

We're going down this river in the fourth world of the game...and it's a nice change of pace, really.

First | Previous | End

World 4-1

For the fourth world, you'll be going down the river on a canoe. You can only move left and right on the canoe; you cannot jump to avoid things. You'll have more than enough darts to get to the end. You can shoot straight with the blow darts, but you can also shoot upwards by holding Up on the Control Pad to nail those pesky birds that drop stuff on you...if your position is right. You're better off avoiding the birds and the projectiles they drop down entirely.

When you see fish leap in and out of the water, position yourself so that they land on you. You'll earn health that way.

The guy with the glasses is the goal.

World 4-2

Press B to shoot straight so you can shoot down the buoys.

You won't be seeing any fish until later in the level. Once you start seeing fish, however, you'll start seeing them in droves, and you'll have more than enough chances to fill up your health bar.

You can also hold Down and press B to shoot downward. You'll need to do this near the end to take out the guys who show up and throw things at you. Avoid their projectiles and shoot them down from a distance. After five of these guys, you're done with World 4.

PrinceWatercress plays Un Indien Dans La Ville - Part 3 of 5

Because I knew what I was doing, this whole world ended up becoming super short.

First | Previous | Next | End

World 3-1

For this world, you'll be riding in a mine cart. Double tap forward to speed up and double tap back to slow down. Shoot down the Frankenstein monster hands before they grab you, and also shoot darts at the bats and skeletons, the latter of which will jump up when you approach. If you know what you're doing, you can get through this stage and the next one in seconds.

World 3-2

Just more of the same here. If you stay at the top of the level and you just do what I do here, you should be able to get to the end pretty quickly. There isn't much here that you haven't seen in World 3-1.

PrinceWatercress plays Un Indien Dans La Ville - Part 2 of 5

We're climbing a metal structure for the second world of the game. Why? How the heck should I know?

First | Next | End

World 2-1

For the second world, you'll be climbing up a tall, metal tower. (Why? I don't know. I've never seen the movie.) You'll be able to collect cellphones for health and lives, and you'll be able to climb ladders with Up or Down if you are in front of them.

The screws that are bouncing up and down will bounce you higher if you jump on them a few times.

Enemies include men with jackhammers who shoot debris at you, birds that quickly bob up and down as they quickly move back and forth.

You can easily move up slopes, but if you move down them, you will slide down.

If any parts of the floor have anything icky on them, they will be greasy and slippery, so be careful.

Be sure to use Select and the Control Pad to move the camera ahead and find some nearby enemies, as well as to find platforms you can't see so you don't have to make a random leap of faith or assume that you're stuck.

The bouncing Mimi-Siku head is an extra life, so try to grab it if you see it.

When you find your dad, you're at the end of the stage.

World 2-2

You'll have a lot more slopes to go up and down as well as a few new enemies.

The men with the paint cans will shoot blobs of paint forward at you. The guy with the black hat will throw his hat at you, but the hat won't hit you if you duck.

One of the gaps between slopes at the start will take you to a couple of cellphones and a 1-Up.

There is a 1-Up on a high platform, but you can leap into it from underneath to get it if your timing is right.

You can leap from the middle of a ladder. This will allow you to jump to other ladders and platforms when necessary.

PrinceWatercress plays Un Indien Dans La Ville - Part 1 of 5

I have no idea what is going on here; I just know this is based on a French movie that I will probably never see.

Next | End

World 1-1

This game is based on the movie of the same name, and you play as Mimi-Siku, the titular character, through all of it.

Left and Right let you move around, B shoots a blow dart, A lets you jump, Down lets you duck, and holding Select while using the Control Pad lets you look around and make it easier to take down enemies and see what is ahead. This will definitely be useful in the later levels.

At the bottom of the screen is the current amount of blow darts you have, your current health and your current leaves. You can have up to five hits, and bottomless pits will instantly kill you.

While you can pick up darts that you find, you can also get some from jumping on enemies. The snakes are okay to jump on, but the porcupines are a no-go on that front and should be rid of with the blow darts when necessary.

Sometimes you will find Mimi-Siku's pet spider Maitika. If you find it, you'll get a web icon in the lower-right corner of the screen, and you can hold Down and press A to unleash the spider to get rid of one enemy. You can get higher bounces from jumping on enemies, which allows you to reach certain areas. Once you use Maitika as an item, you won't be able to pick Maitika back up.

Pans are the pick-up for the jungle stages, and if you collect 30 of them (not 50 as I originally thought) before making it to the end of a stage, you'll be able to get a bonus life. If you collect enough pots, you can refill one of your hit points. You can also do the same if you defeat ten enemies in a stage.

You'll need to use the platforms to get through the stage, but thankfully, they aren't hard to get on.

The girl in the black swimsuit is the end of the stage. If you see another person, they are where the stage ends. Move into them to enter the next stage.

World 1-2

Blow darts will be more scarce in this stage, so conserve your ammo.

Sometimes you will find certain tiles that will activate bridges that take you to secrets. Make sure to walk everywhere as you explore stages.

The bird will move up and down as it flies back and forth, and a dart is a better option for taking it out if you see it.

Spikes do not instantly kill you, but the snapping alligators below will.

Once you touch the girl in the bathing suit, you'll enter World 2.
