PrinceWatercress plays Bugs Bunny: Lost In Time - Part 1 of 23

I only remember seeing this one in game magazine advertisements back in the day, but I've always wondered what this game was like. Here's the Let's Play where I find out.

3:15 - The game begins with Bugs Bunny finding a time machine and deciding to screw around with it on his way to Pismo Beach. No, Bugs, that's not a carrot juice dispenser.

The only place you're going is Nowhere. Let's go there.

4:56 - Here, you'll meet Merlin of Monroe, who only showed up in one old Looney Tunes cartoon called "Knight-Mare Hare." Not surprisingly, this opening cutscene is a reference to "Knight-Mare Hare" with liberties taken. You'll need to find clocks to get back home.

7:20 - Pressing X allows you to jump. Jump into the chain to grab on, then use Up and Down to climb up. At the top is a golden carrot...assuming you've read the nearby sign with the R1 button, of course. These will up your game completion percentage and do nothing else. There are 333 golden carrots in the game.

Also, when you walk off an edge, you'll hop off instead of just walk off. You can use this to your advantage sometimes in the game.

9:20 - Hold the R1 button and move into a crate to push it. You can also pick up smaller crates with R1. Pressing Square lets you throw the crate, and you can jump while holding a crate. You can also hold multiple crates, assuming they're stacked up.

Picking up orange carrots refills your health (you only have six hits before you're taken back to the last checkpoint) and allows you to get carrots as currency for golden carrots in the overworld areas.

11:29 - Press R1 to pick up the mallet. You'll only be able to have it as long as the timer is on the lower-right corner. Square strikes with the mallet. Hit the high-striker for a golden carrot.

12:46 - Hold the Circle button in mid-air to safely land on the TNT crates. Hold it until you land completely on the ground, or it won't work. Use your shadow to know where you're landing.

13:59 - You can jump on the guy in the purple robe as well as the trampolines to get the two golden carrots here. The hat with the propeller is a checkpoint. By pressing R1 at it, you can save your game any time you want. By pressing R1 at the time machine, you'll learn that you need to get all ten golden carrots here to get the clock in Nowhere and move on. Also, if a "!" or "?" appears over Bugs' head, press R1 to get information.

15:05 - You can pick up objects with R1 and throw them with Square. Nail the guy here with the fruit to get the golden carrot.

16:07 - The L1 button lets you roll. You can use it to get through narrow corridors and obstacles, not to mention defeat enemies. The Square button lets you kick enemies, especially in the behind, if they are tired out. Sometimes, you may have to jump on an enemy to squish them, then kick them when they're squashed. Also, if an enemy chases after you, keep running until they get tired, then get behind them and kick them.

17:58 - Hold Circle while moving to get over this bridge without breaking it. If you fall into the water, you'll lose one of your infinite lives. Tiptoe towards the guy in the purple robe and kick him to get a golden carrot. Circle by itself lets you crouch.

19:23 - Go up to a rabbit hole, press X to jump above it and press R1 to dive. If you're lined up, you'll dive in and move under the ground to get the last golden carrot. To get back on land, go back to the rabbit hole and jump.

21:35 - Now that you've got all ten golden carrots here, go back to the castle. Merlin of Monroe will give you your first clock to open the Stone Age era. There are 124 clocks in the game.

22:27 - "They laughed at the man who invented penicillin!" Another "Knight-Mare Hare" reference.

23:32 - From here, you can't go back to Nowhere, so head to the Stone Age. From here, you have only one level to select, but you can save your game here.
