ProtonJonSA plays Ninja Gaiden 2 - Act 4

Funny how there's something from just about any other video game on the planet that can remind you of NG2's storyline.

Act 4

Anyway, Sunglasses Guy tells you about the Sword of Chaos, which was grown out of the bone of the Demon (much like how the Dragon Sword is made from the fang of a dragon). He then reveals that his name is Robert, and that he's part of Special Intelligence in the U.S. Army. Ashtar must be stopped before the Sword of Chaos can reach full power.

And when we start the level...

HOLY FUCK.

This...is...awesome.

Anyway, you'll have to slash to hit some of the demons on the floor, and the Ninja Gaiden Bird is officially replaced with the Ninja Gaiden Bat. No wonder they introduced the birds early.

You'll be dealing with those ghost flames again, and you'll also have to contend with rocks that split into four when they rise out of the bottomless pits. Add in some more precision platform jumping and you have yourself a challenge!

The second section takes place in a much cooler and much wetter area. The water here will act like conveyor belts, and it even runs on walls to make your wall-climbing prowess a bit slower. You'll also have some more enemies to contend with - some of them are from the first game, like some of those small bats and those guys with the weird masks (who now carry an axe). You also have guys running towards you with swords out like they have a death wish or something.

The boss here is really easy. Just stay on the platform you start the battle at and throw shurikens at the head. Worst. Boss. Ever.

After you beat the boss, Ashtar taunts you a second time like those Frenchman in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. What a jerk.
