Part nostalgia-bomb, part note-taking and part FAQ, what started in GameTrailers as a video game blog is now on Blogger. This blog is a look back at video games, both popular and obscure, from the video game industry's infancy all the way to the previous console generation.
Anyway, just throw the coconuts at the flying helicopter thing and jump out of the way when the hands open up and try to crush you. Easily done as said.
Aquatic Stage: Octopus and Pirate
Same tactics for the final fight with the Octopus and the Pirate from the Aquatic Stage. He'll go down in four hits, just like last time.
Final Fight - Phase 1
Finally, you get to fight Pinky and the Brain! He'll run right into you from the get-go, but you can walk through the left edge of the screen and appear on the right side...and vice versa! This makes the battle a lot more fair and even makes it a little more comical, if you ask me.
They'll then shoot up like a rocket into the air, shoot two red guys into the ground which you can easily dash through, and then they'll jet into the air and crash back down in an attempt to crush you. Two robot parts will drop from him when he hits the ground. Grab them and throw them at the mechanical suit. He'll drop a Script Piece! Grab it before Pinky does!
Final Fight - Phase 2
The second time around, they'll drop fireballs instead of the red guys. These are easy to avoid as long as you keep moving and use the edges of the screen in your favor. Then he'll rocket into the air and try to crush you like before.
After two hits, he'll drop a gold coin. Then he'll start tossing cannonballs that will roll in your direction. Just walk into the edge of the screen to avoid them; they won't follow you that way. After two more hits, they'll drop another Script Piece! Grab it quickly!
Final Fight - Phase 3
He'll go back to dropping fireballs again. He'll then drop two red guys. Then he'll drop some cannonballs. Avoid those, and grab the robot parts that come out of the suit when he drops down. After two more hits, the mechanical suit will explode, and you'll get the last Script Piece! You've won!
Pinky and the Brain will run away. Maybe next time, guys.
After this, you'll see the ending. Thankfully, since you'll more than likely have all the script pieces after reading this, you'll get the best one. The CEO finds out that the movie is nothing more than an Animaniacs movie that has only the three of them in it. That poor man.
The best ending has more stuff after the credits: The Brain concentrates on tomorrow night's plan...
Pinky: What are we doing tomorrow night?
The Brain: Pinky, you are a threat to tolerance.
Script Locations
#22, #23, #24: These are earned by defeating Pinky and The Brain's three different forms. You'll have to grab the first two Script Pieces quickly before Pinky grabs them back!
The first thing you hear in this video will remind you of Contra. That is all.
Sci-Fi Stage (continued)
Once you're in the UFO, coins will start to drop, which you'll need to grab quickly. Not long afterward, some metal coils at the sides of the elevator will start flashing purple and start shooting beams of electricity from one side to the other. Sidestep to avoid these beams.
Not long afterwards, a flying machine will drop an egg that shoots out two Facehuggers before disappearing. Avoid these, and you'll have to avoid more electric beams. After a short while, the sets of coils at the top and bottom of the elevator will run continuously while a flying machine drops another alien egg on the left side of the elevator moments before another one drops an egg on the right. Stand next to where the one on the right is about to land, and run left as soon as the Facehuggers jump out. They'll miss. Now start walking to the right. The next two will miss as a third one is dropped. Run to the left again, and you'll get away from this onslaught without a scratch. The beams of electricity will soon vanish, and three more eggs will dropped. Don't be alarmed...they're fake eggs with baby chicks in them that will disappear shortly. DAWWWWWWWWWW!
More coins will now drop. Grab them. You'll seen see another flying machine with Pinky and the Brain riding on top of it before it zooms back up the screen. There will be an opening to the right that sends you to the next section.
You will now be running away from a large truck. Once it starts running, the screen will center back on you. Start dashing to the other side of the stage. Avoid the red guys altogether and jump up steps when you have to. When the truck hits the large group of barrels, a giant robot will appear. No need to dash this time. You will, however, have to jump over lava pits and run and jump across conveyor belts to make it to the end of the stage. Avoid the fireballs that leap out of the lava pits.
You'll soon reach a long conveyor belt that will have several fireballs on the ground. Avoid these and make your way to the next platform, being careful not to be burned on the other end of the conveyor belt.
You'll soon reach three switches, which tell you that each switch will turn on with five attacks. Dash into each one five times, and avoid the robot. If he gets too close, walk to the left, then jump over him back to the switches. It'll buy you a little time. When all three switches turn on, they'll look for the robot and crush him once he's under it. Watch him explode into individual tiles like those enemies on Sunday Funday! Oh yeah!
You'll be in another section that seems to take place on another set. Ralph will drop down from the left side of the screen and chase you yet again. Man, does he ever give up? If you dash through him and the two crates that are here, you'll unlock a door to the bonus stage!
Bonus Stage
Do I really have to say what to do here? The only weird difference is that the sky here is a night time sky rather than an evening time. Interesting.
After Bonus Stage
You'll re-appear a little further into the stage. You'll also have fully evaded Ralph! Yay! Walk left, and dash into the crate that you see. You'll find a Script Piece. Go right, and you'll find a ladder. Climb it while the other two Warners are distracted by Hello Nurse.
In the last section, the other two Warners will run to the other end of the stage. A wall will fly from the left side of the screen and land in certain spots, while a small gear will also fly at you from that direction. Jump on and over the wall, and avoid the gear. After another gear, you'll see a rather huge gear that's obviously made of Mode 7 graphics coming your way. You will still have to jump over walls and avoid smaller gears while keeping the big gear from running you over. Thankfully, the walls can help you reach the coins in this section, but be careful.
You'll soon see three gears fly from the left in quick succession. If you walk carefully, you can have all three of them fly over you. You'll then see two tiles in the background...and the one closer to you has a monkey tossing a bone around in its hand. A reference to "2001: A Space Odyssey," perhaps? Don't let that distract you from avoiding all the gears that bounce across the screen.
When you see the yellow sign with the exclamation mark, get ready! That large gear is going to run you over! Thankfully, you can position yourself so that you can stand and move between the gear's massive teeth. It'll run you over again, and once more positioning is crucial. This could take a few tries.
You'll reach the exit door where the other Warners are waiting. There will also be the Mime dressed up like Charlie Chaplin. Don't go into the exit yet. (This is the last time I will say this. I promise.) Instead, wait a few seconds, and the Mime's cane will turn into a Script Piece. Grab it.
Now you can exit. The Sci-Fi Stage is now conquered!
Editing Room Stage
The building at the upper-left hand corner of the map is now accessible! It's the editing room, where you'll finally meet up with Pinky and the Brain! You may remember the mechanical suit near them as the one they wear on the episode where they participate on "Jeopardy!"
The Warners will jump into the screen where a reel of film is being played by Pinky and the Brain themselves. It's Boss Rush time!
Sci-Fi Stage: Robot
You'll have to fight the robot again. Just walk to the right, and you'll start the battle. Same strategies as before - just dash into each switch five times and avoid the robot, and you'll be fine. After that, you'll instantly head to the next boss.
Fantasy Stage: King
This time around, it'll be a dark purple palette swap of one of the statues in the castle with the King's head "programmed" into it. Same strategy, but this time he'll be a little bigger and faster. You'll have to dash from one end of the screen to the other this time. You'll still trick him into being below the falling anvil at the wrong time, so be patient and keep on running! He'll still die in three hits, so don't worry about this one being too hard.
Script Locations
#20: One of the crates in the section after the robot has a Script Piece in it. If you go into the bonus stage and head out, you'll find it on your left when you return to the stage.
#21: When you reach the exit door, don't enter it yet. Instead, you'll see the Mime on the right side of the screen. His cane will turn into a Script Piece if you wait a few seconds.
You're now fighting against the mini-boss of the Adventure Stage - a pair of mechanical gorilla arms with some weird looking helicopter-like thing flying around.
The battle starts with the two fists slamming into the ground, causing two coconuts to fall from the sky. Throw these at the weird thing with the rotor that's flying around. The arms will then leap towards you - first the left one, then the right. After each arm moves four times, they'll both leap to the sides and cause two more coconuts to fall from the sky. Grab them and destroy the flying machine, then avoid the arms again. After the arms move four times, they'll open up and try to crush you! Sidestep or jump out of the way. Avoid the arms again as you wait for two more coconuts to throw at the flying machine. After these two hits, the flying machine will hit the ground and the arms will crush it.
You'll automatically be taken to the next section, when sends you into a swamp. Follow the sign that's dead ahead that tells you to go up, and make stacks in order to reach the platforms. On the third one, make another stack and you'll find the next Script Piece.
Leap down to reach the next platform, then continue right. All the while, you'll be dodging the boomerang that is being thrown by some airborne robot on the far right of the screen. You'll have to make a stack to reach a platform in a bit, and after that you'll see some single platforms standing by themselves. They'll fall down when you stand on them, though. Jump up quickly to climb up, and jump once more to receive another Script Piece.
More than likely, you'll land on either another wooden platform or into the swamp water below. If you land on the wooden platforms, great. If you land in the water, avoid the crocodile that will gain on you if you do land there. Eventually, you'll find a ladder near a bottomless pit. You'll have no choice but to climb the ladder to another platform below. Now dash all the way to the end so you won't fall into that pit...there are fall-away platforms dead ahead!
The third section of this stage is full of rope-swinging action, and has a Script Piece of its own. Jump over the vulture, then hang on to the first ring! You'll be riding solo here!
For the first two platforms, watch out for the vulture that flies your way shortly thereafter. Jump over it and get over to the next ring. After the second platform, you'll be jumping to the right on some fall-away platforms before you reach another ring.
This one is crucial. Don't jump to the next platform right away, because Mindy and Buttons are waiting. Little Mindy's standing over the edge of the platform, and Buttons will unintentionally overcompensate and jump into the abyss below...unless you hang on to the rope. You'll knock him into the air again, never to return...supposedly...
When you make it to the end where the other two Warners are waiting, don't exit right away. As soon as you land on the platform, Buttons will land where you are and drop a Script Piece. Grab it.
The next section is a temple. The beginning of the music here sounds somewhat like Indiana Jones at the beginning (I'm surprised LucasArts didn't sue), but it becomes its own song and changes to a more dangerous, urgent mood in a minute. The first stairway down closes up and becomes a slide downwards, and there are panels on the floor afterwards. The first does nothing, but the second one launches you into the air to a higher platform that give you coins.
When you go into the nearby doorway, you'll be in a hall with coins and Count Dracula. The panels at the bottom of the room lift you upwards, but be careful about Count Dracula...he'll move in a sine-wave pattern when he sees you, and you don't want to run into him! Be sure to use the jump button to launch yourself to the top, and you'll find a Script Piece in the center of the room!
The next room takes you to the top of the temple set. Step downwards, then start dashing...the ceiling is about to collapse on you. Make it past, and you'll soon come towards another crushing ceiling. This one has a gap you can stand in to wait for it to come down before you can start running again. Enter the fifth door. When you do, you'll get a Script Piece in the next room at the center of the top of a pit.
Grab it, drop down, and you'll soon come face to face with Ralph. Again. Geez, can't a Warner catch a break? Actually, this time you can. Go left and down until you sidestep towards the screen, then go right...the coins are hinting you to an invisible staircase...and another Script Piece! Amazing how these things pop up so commonly yet they're so easy to miss! Aren't you glad you're reading this now? Drop down, and you'll be at the next door. Be careful not to let Ralph grab you.
Now you're in the mine cart. You'll be avoiding stuff, but you'll also need to grab as many coins as you can for extra continues and jackpot bonuses. Jump over Count Dracula so that he doesn't get you, and jump over the rocks that those flying machines drop on the tracks. When Ralph appears, jump or move out of the way so he doesn't grab you, while still avoiding the rocks.
When you jump over the next two rocks after Ralph disappears, you'll supposedly reach the top before coming straight down. You'll jump off a ramp and have an E.T. moment (heh, heh) before jumping out of the mine cart and running down a hill. Grab coins while avoiding the giant moon you just glanced off of that rolls your way. If you stay at the very bottom, it'll just miss you, but you can get behind it at the right moment if you're not that much of a badass.
When you reach the exit door, go ahead and enter it. You've gotten all the Script Pieces here, and you won't get another one by waiting a few seconds longer like in past stages. Congrats, you've beaten the Adventure Stage.
Sci-Fi Stage
We're saving the best for last...mostly because freakinalex wanted to. -_-'
Avoid the facehuggers that come out of the eggs. Yeah, we've got Alien references this time. After you maneuver past the first three eggs, make a stack and jump to the platform to the left. Make another stack, jump up and you'll receive another Script Piece.
Ahead is a landmine of Facehugger eggs. You'll find coins if you head downwards. Also, there are chicken footprints near the last egg. If you walk up to that egg, you'll find a baby chick instead. DAWWWWWWWWW!
You'll see a staircase and a Scarecrow. Let's focus on the Scarecrow first. Dash into it four times. The first three times, the head will come off and pop back into place. But on the fourth, it'll pop back on upside down and a Script Piece pops out. Grab it!
Go up the stairs, and you'll find some coins as well as two more that you can find from dashing into crates. The lighting fixtures on the ground can be picked up...not sure why. There's also a garbage-can looking thing quietly dozing around near the entrance to the next section. If you dash into it a couple of times, you'll get some coins. When it stops moving, though, then it's cleaned out.
Position yourself near the "In" door to the nearby trailer, but don't enter! Instead, make a stack and jump towards the top of the entrance. You'll be at the top of the entrance. Go left and you'll find some coins and another Script Piece.
The second section has two balls that look like the Death Star with holes in them like bowling balls. Star Wars references, now? Okay. As if we hadn't had enough movie references already...
Dash into the plank of wood that's holding them up, and you'll be going down yet another hill like you did in the Adventure Stage. Jump over the balls as they roll down the slope. If you pay attention to the background (which you shouldn't be doing if you're actually playing this game) you'll see X-Wings flying around. For some reason, they're in the shape of an H, an X and a Y...also, lasers will be flying about towards what looks like the ship from Asteroids...
At one point, the balls bounce. You're better off getting under them when they do.
When you see the yellow sign with the exclamation point appear on the right side of the screen, be ready to jump so you can clear the pit and head to the next section. Too bad Ralph's waiting for you and there's no way to go. Avoid him as long as possible and jump on him if you have to (and to get a free coin). After a while, the music will stop and a sound will scare him away. A UFO appears, with a tractor beam aimed at the center of the screen (and a giant white hand pointing at it) shortly afterwards. Walk into it, and you'll be lifted into the UFO.
Script Locations
Adventure Stage
#11: In the beginning of the second section, take heed of the sign telling you to go up. Make stacks until you reach the third platform, then make one more stack and jump your way to a Script Piece.
#12: Shortly after the first Script Piece, there will be some singular wooden platforms that fall down similarly to the Donut Blocks in Mario games when you stand on them. Quickly jump straight up on them until you reach the top one, then quickly jump up once more to find another difficult-to-grab Script Piece.
#13: When you see Mindy and Buttons, stay on the rope. You'll smack Buttons into the wild blue yonder. When you make it to the end of that section (which isn't far away) Buttons will crash down and drop a Script Piece. Grab it.
#14: In the temple, the center of the room with Count Dracula has a Script Piece. Use the panels at the bottom of the room (and the jump button) to reach it.
#15: After the crushing ceilings, there will be six doorways to choose from. Enter the fifth one, and you'll spy a Script Piece that's quite difficult to miss. Make your jump good, now.
#16: When you see Ralph after grabbing that last Script Piece, go left and down until you sidestep towards the screen. Go right, and you'll go up a flight of invisible stairs...and a Script Piece that's waiting for you at the end!
Sci-Fi Stage
#17: After walking past the first eggs that launch Facehuggers, make a stack, jump to the platform to the left, make a stack again and jump straight up. You'll find a Script Piece.
#18: When you see the scarecrow near the flight of stairs, dash into it four times. You'll get a Script Piece that's way too easy to miss for your efforts.
#19: Position yourself near the entrance to the second section, but don't enter. Instead, make a stack and jump towards the top of the entrance. Go left and you'll find yet another easy-to-miss Script Piece.
The boss of this stage happens to be the King of Spades. He'll chase after you, and you have to walk around the level so that the anvil crushes him. When he gets crushed three times, he's gone. Simple as that.
The exit door appears, but don't go through it just yet! Instead, go all the way to the right. You'll find the fourth Script Piece. Now you can exit.
Aquatic Stage
Well, this is different.
It's just one Warner on a raft trying to make it to the other side. What, do the other two have jet skis we don't see in-game or something? Anyway, you'll have to dash to get the rafts to go anywhere, and you'll have to walk the opposite direction you want to go to move on the barrels. You'll see coins popping out of the water; make it a habit to collect as many of these as you can, you'll need them, as the game isn't going to get any easier. Move quickly so you don't get eaten by the sharks, which follow a specific pattern and are only designated to one row of the screen.
The first raft that takes you backwards instead of forward isn't too far from the start. Take it and grab all the coins that jump out of the water like fish as you make your way back. If you grab them all, a Script Piece will pop up on a nearby platform! Go back and grab it!
Next, you'll be jumping on pink seashells. When you jump on them, they'll bounce you upwards. Use your momentum to get to the next platform and jump on the next few seashells. If you're quick enough, you'll avoid the shark that comes at you from behind before the next solid platform. You'll then go forward on a raft, back on a barrel, and forward again on another raft. More coins pop up as practice for something you'll get in a little while. Get on the next barrel, and coins will pop up again. Grab them as they come, and when you get the final coin, another Script Piece pops up in your path.
After this, it's back to seashell hopping, then you'll be faced with a choice between a barrel and a raft. Take the raft. Once again, you'll be grabbing coins, this time with a shark coming after you. If you can grab all the coins this time...you guessed it...another Script Piece shows up on the platform ahead.
Once you're done with that, get on the next raft and you'll see a pink buoy with the number "90" on it. You'll also hear music that is reminiscent of Jaws. This is your cue to dash like hell. When you see a pink seashell, jump on it and you'll launch your way towards a pirate ship.
Once you're on the ship, dash into the first lone box you see. It'll give you five coins. Continue, and you'll find a cannon...and a giant octopus that wants to hug you, squeeze you and call you George. Or not.
Aim the cannon so that your shot will hit the octopus's massive head, then jump on it to fire a cannonball. If you hit it, it'll stop and turn bright pink for a brief moment. All the while, avoid its tentacles so that you won't get crushed. Keep firing cannonballs at it while avoiding its arms and it will go down after three hits.
The screen scrolls after this. Avoid both the pirates that swing about as well as the pits. The pirates can't kill you, but they can knock you around. After that, you'll see another cannon. The octopus is back. Just use the same tactics as before. After three more hits, it's gone. But wait! Jump on the cannon again, and a Script Piece will come out from behind the ship...grab it.
After this, you'll jump on three geysers. Time your jumps right so you can make it to another pirate ship. Once again, the first lone box you see will have five coins if you dash into it. But don't rest on your laurels...Ralph is waiting yet again. Dash into him and into the box in front of him. You'll get the bonus stage again if you can go into the door in time.
After Bonus Stage
You'll appear near the box you just ran over, and Ralph is waiting for you again. Walk to the right, and be careful so that Ralph doesn't get you! There'll be more geysers to jump on, but wait! Stay on the first one, and Ralph will fall off the pirate ship! You're free to explore the ship at your leisure! Now, if you go back and run into one of the crates in one of the sets littered across the deck, you'll break them and find a Script Piece!
When you make the jumps to the third ship, the screen begins to scroll when the first pirate begins to swing around. You'll have to line yourself up so that the pirate won't bump into you when you're jumping over the pits. After that, you'll have to fight the octopus yet again. Same rules apply.
Once you beat him for a third time, it's on to the third section.
Continue on, and it's the final fight between you and the Octopus! This time, a pirate is riding on top of him. After two hits, he'll get mad and send baby octopi after you. They'll quickly walk back and forth in front of and behind the cannon to make it harder for you to get around. After two more hits, the octopus is gone...and so is the pirate. Don't exit yet. Instead, continue to the end of the ship and you'll find the next Script Piece.
Now you can exit.
Adventure Stage
Avoid the T-Rex feet that walk about, and don't step on the banana peels, whatever you do. If you keep to the platforms, you'll avoid some of the pairs of mechanical feet entirely.
You'll then meet up with a rather angry female gorilla. Avoid her and keep going. When she chases after Rita and Runt again, you're in the clear. After a few more coins and more optional platforms, you'll face a pair of mechanical gorilla arms.
Script Locations
Fantasy Stage
#4: After beating the Fantasy Stage boss, don't go through the exit door right away. Instead, go all the way to the right and you'll find this easy-to-miss Script Piece.
Aquatic Stage
#5: The first raft that takes you backwards instead of forwards has a surprise. Catch all the coins that pop up out of the water and this Script Piece will magically appear on a nearby platform.
#6: The second barrel after the set of seashells you bounce on leads to another coin grabbing challenge. It's a little harder because it's a barrel and not a raft, but if you can grab all the coins, another Script Piece will magically appear in your path to the end of the first section.
#7: Shortly after the second Script Piece in the game, you're faced with a choice between a raft and a barrel. Take the raft. You'll have to grab coins, this time with a shark gaining on you from behind. If you can get all the coins this time unscathed, you'll find the next Script Piece pop up from oblivion on the next platform.
#8: After you defeat the Octopus a second time, jump on the cannon once more. A Script Piece will pop out from the other side of the ship for the taking.
#9: When you reach the end of the second pirate ship, jump on the first geyser and stay there. Ralph will fall off the ship. Now go back and run into one of the crates in one of the large sets of crates littered across the deck. You'll break one and find a Script Piece inside.
#10: Once you defeat the octopus one last time, continue to the right and it's there plain as day. It's yours.
Alright, alright! Yeah, it's another TV-to-game transition I played as a kid. What is it with me and these things right now?
For the record, freakinalex's run is tool-assisted. According to the description, he died several times but used save states throughout. He does get all 24 scripts, though, and for those of you who still have problems finding all 24 scripts and getting the real ending, guess what? I'll individually list every single one of them for your convenience, because I'm more awesome than The Miz! HERP DERP!
No, seriously, I am. Well...not...really...but you know what I'm sayin'. Let's just start at the beginning.
In case nobody knows what the plot is, the game begins with Pinky and the Brain carrying out their plot of stealing the script for a new movie from Warner Bros. Studios during the night. The next day, the CEO asks the Warner Brothers...and the Warner Sister...for a favor (which would really be out of place in the show, BTW) in which he tells them of the theft of the new movie script...and then asks Yakko, Wakko and Dot to get them back.
Intro Stage
The first section of the introductory level is as straight-forward as it gets. I'll let the video talk when it comes to this. The second section is a little harder, so I'll be talking about that part instead.
It doesn't show this at the beginning of the video, but if you push the potted plant at the very start to where the CEO is, you'll trigger a hidden door. If you walk through it, you'll get a bunch of coins. Every time you collect five coins, you'll trigger the slot machine as well as all the power-ups and lives that you'll be able to get throughout the game from it. You can either let it run on its own, or you can press L to stop it yourself. Of course, if you know what you're doing, chances are you'll go through the entire game without pressing the L button once, resulting in having more continues than you'll need to beat the game.
Hold Right on the Control Pad when you drop out of the window. You'll land on some awnings where you can collect some extra coins. When you're done, drop to the ground. Some of the crates will also have coins in them. There will also be a broken fire hydrant that is detached from the pavement. Pick it up, and you'll have a weapon to use against Ralph, the security guard who pops up every so often to try to catch the Warners and throw them back in the Water Tower.
Get to the end of the stage as quickly as you can and jump when Ralph gains on you. When you jump on his head, he drops a coin that you can collect. Don't make a habit of doing it repeatedly...the aim of the game here is to get away from him, and you really don't want to lose a Warner...or the game...to Ralph.
When you make it to the end, the Warner Dash away from the main studio area, and you'll get a password. After you're done copying that down, you'll go to the map screen.
Map Screen
After the password screen, you'll see the map screen. You move around this screen like in a game of Pac-Man. In case you have no idea where to go, you'll see Pinky and the Brain taking something to one of the buildings on the map before they disappear. If you see a speech bubble above the lead Warner, you can go to that area.
Avoid Ralph on this screen unless you want to go through an unnecessary chase scene where one of the Warners is captured if you fail. He does chase after you if he spots you, so avoid him on the map at all costs.
If you don't have all three Warners in your party at once, you can go to the Water Tower, which I'll cover in another installment.
As for the red guy...nothing. He's just there for laughs, I guess.
There are three places you can go at the beginning: the Fantasy Stage, the Aquatic Stage and the Sci-Fi Stage. Since freakinalex does this in the order that Pinky and the Brain take, let's start with the Fantasy Stage.
Fantasy Stage
The stage begins with the Warners getting on broomsticks and chasing after a rabbit with a pocket watch. He must be late, I guess.
Anyway, there are three rows in this scene, and the rabbit will take one of them in advance. Follow his movements, moving to one of the three rows when he does and jumping trees and other low-lying obstacles whenever necessary where he moves and you won't be running into trees, walls and other solid objects...or losing Warners, for that matter.
You'll be getting a lot of coins in this area, most of them throughout the stage but some of those that are dropped by the rabbit. You'll have to time your jumps to get as many of those coins as you can. Just keep your finger off the R button...you'll be too busy dodging and jumping that you'll feel no need to stop the slot whenever you feel necessary during this part of the stage, anyway.
The second section involves a dragon-like thing that looks like a dog. You'll have to stand on its body in order to get across the seemingly endless pits in what looks like a Warner Bros. version of Jack and the Beanstalk. The arrows tell you where to stand when it comes time to jump on the dog-dragon (whatever it's supposed to be). Avoid the vultures, and don't worry about being solo for the rest of the game...your partners will come back to you.
The dragon goes in and out of the clouds, and you'll have to keep jumping in order to stay on him and keep from falling into the abyss below. Use your shadow to guide yourself if you have to.
At one point in the second section, the dragon flies through the air. You'll have to reposition yourself on the dragon with some small jumps as he does a loop-de-loop before sinking into the clouds once more.
The third section is a mad dash to the end as the castle begins to collapse from behind you. Avoid the pits and the vultures. After a while, it'll start collapsing even faster. You'll have to dash with the A button in order to get past it this time.
The fourth section is the inside of a castle. The big "whomp" sound you hear is a giant anvil moving up and falling down to the ground that is dead ahead. I think you know what not to do here. Dash to avoid it.
The foot soldiers can be easily dashed into in order to defeat them. They'll drop coins when they die. After that tall platform, you'll see Ralph (of all people) seemingly waiting for you. Avoid him and jump on the card-shaped platforms up to an anvil that seemingly stomps on the ground three times before it rests. Make a mad dash towards some more foot soldiers. Defeating them causes a door to the bonus stage appear.
Bonus Stage
This is pretty simple, and you'll see it throughout the game. Just jump off the balloons to get the coins in the air, and when you're done with that, just get the coins on the ground. When you're finished, just go through the door at the end and you'll be back in the stage.
Back to Fantasy Stage
You'll be placed on the other side of where those foot soldiers were. Ahead of you is yet another giant anvil. After you get past that, you'll have to make a stack to get to the next platform, which will flip positions every so often and knock you to the pit below if you jump at the wrong time. After these two platforms, stand in the center and dash. You'll hit all the foot soldiers at one time...and into the arms of your first Script Piece!
Drop down, and be careful - Ralph is looking to grab you yet again. Get on top of the statues and make a stack to reach one of the card platforms above. Jump up until you reach the top...you'll find another Script Piece!
After this, keep going right and jump up on the cards. You'll be free from Ralph's grasp and you'll reach another platform full of foot soldiers you can dash into. Jump across the pit, jump up the next set of cards and you'll find yet another Script Piece. Make your way forward, drop down, grab the coins and continue right. After you pass an anvil, you'll meet the boss of this stage...
Script Locations
Fantasy Stage
#1: After the first two flipping platforms, you'll find this after the line of foot soldiers. You'd have to be blind to miss this one, it's really easy.
#2: After the first one, get on top of the statues you see after finding Ralph again and make a stack so you can jump on the bouncy cards. At the top of all this is the second Script.
#3: Shortly after finding the second piece, you'll jump a pit in order to reach another set of bouncy cards. Once again, this is very hard to miss, as you'll get another Script if you make it this far.
