We get a ship ride out of Llewdor, but it's not precisely what we expected...

Talk to the captain, and for the bag of gold, you'll get passage out of Llewdor. (Don't take too long giving him the gold.) Head straight for the ship and enter. Turns out, the sailors are really pirates. Oops.
You'll be in the hold of the ship, and your inventory will be gone. Go to the right, and you'll find out what the pirates have in store for you from the mice. Pick up the small crate and take it to the larger one directly under the rope ladder on the previous screen. Jump onto the small crate, then jump onto the larger one to reach the rope ladder. Jump again to reach it, then climb up.
The captain's cabin is to the left, but don't enter if he's there, as he will throw you back into the hold. If he's out, you can get to the chest at the foot of his bed without any trouble. Look inside and you'll find your stuff! Take it!
Head back to the right. Hopefully, that one member of the crew won't show up. If he doesn't, keep going on and off screen until he disappears. Now that he's gone, take the shovel next to the lifeboat.
