The Shogun of Darkness!
The Shogun just walks towards you and shoots a couple of shockwaves into the ground. When he does, jump onto a wall. If you get close enough, he can slash at you like Tsutenkaku. You'll have to get close enough to hit him and then run. Of course, if you have a lot of ninjitsu power and a good enough special weapon, you can use that too.
The second form is a ghost head that flies around. Hit him with your sword and avoid both the projectiles he spits out and the lightning that comes at you from the top of the screen. He'll head down to your level, which will give you a good amount of hits before he returns to the top of the screen.
Looking back, this wasn't exactly what one would call a bad game. Sure, it's easier than the NES games, it doesn't follow the plot of the NES trilogy in any way whatsoever, and some things are done differently, but it is a nice game if you're looking for a quick mindless diversion. If you're looking for a masterpiece...well...all I can kinda say is to just keep looking, since this isn't quite it.
