ProtonJonSA plays Ninja Gaiden for Master System - Chapter 6

We go from an ice level to a fire level. How logical is that?

The next level is a volcano. Memories of Act II of Ninja Gaiden III, anybody?

As soon as you go in, you fight off skeletons that look like they're pregnant. Sega can't draw skeletons right on 8-bit hardware? That's hilarious. It won't be long until you reach the lava pits, which just do one point of damage if you just touch the lava and not fall into a pit, which is kinda generous if you think about it.

Near the end of the level, there are a massive amount of power-ups guarded by lava. If you have the fireball shield, however, you can get everything. Health recovery, ninjitsu power, even another fire wheel.

The boss is annoying. He's easy once you know his pattern (also easy), but it takes a few minutes to kill because you can hit him only once every couple of seconds. He still sticks to the same pattern, though, so the stone man's not that bad.

1:10 - Those skeletons are pregnant. That's hilarious.
1:13 - The lava pits!
1:26 - This is where it gets tricky. You'll have to make your way across these programs without getting your feet burned. You'll have to time it right, as the lava has a weird pattern.
2:55 - This fireball will knock you back into the previous screen when it splits if you're not careful. I think you're intended to use the screen-clearing bomb here...
4:09 - Super ultra mega hyper power-ups time!
4:46 - This guy's real easy. Wait for him to become whole, then hit him and run to the other side of the screen. He'll appear at your side again when the floor regenerates, so run the other way, wait for him, hit him, run all the way to the other side, repeat. He takes a couple of minutes to kill, since you can hit him once every few seconds. Do not let him land near the center unless you have a death wish...the entire floor will disappear!
8:13 - The closing cutscene.
