PrinceWatercress plays Wolfchild (Super NES) - Stage 4 of 5

Stage 4: Chimera Base


You will start on an elevator. Avoid the platforms with the spikes on the bottom by staying in motion. Do not land on the tops of them, as the platforms will still hit you. After that, numerous enemies on jetpacks will land and fire at you. If you have any weapon energy, use the big fireball to destroy them as quickly as possible. Some will run away, but others will shoot at you as soon as they land.

When the elevator stops, you can get on a platform to the rest of the stage. Go right to completely refill your health and get back to werewolf if you need to. Be ready to use the big fireballs to take care of all the enemies that shoot at you.

When you see the gray stasis tanks, watch out. Some of them will break when you get in close and reveal octopus-men who attack you with the tentacles on their faces. Take them down from afar with big fireballs. After that, watch out as you pass the pipes, as some of them shoot out projectiles.

You can walk through the spikes; just make sure you don't jump onto them.





The crescent weapon will be useful when you drop down to the elevator at the end of the first section. It works like a boomerang and will hit anything behind you, just in case. It may not have the range of the big fireball, but it still has the strength to take any any enemies herein one hit.

In the second section, there is a full health replenishment to the right of the start in case you need to get to werewolf form, as there are few checkpoints in the second section.

Be sure to explore at the start of the second section for some much-needed weapon energy.

There are platforms that spin around and have spikes on one side. The spikes don't kill you instantly, but they do hurt if you land on them, so watch those platforms carefully.

Duck down when the fish men show up so they miss when they spit at you. Use the boomerang to take them down.

Be fast on the conveyor belt and avoid the boxes. Interestingly, you slide around on the conveyor belts when you come to a spot, which is pretty accurate. You'll eventually see parts where boxes drop down

The blue sphere is a zig-zag shot that can only be stopped by walls. It goes up and down quite a bit, so you can use it as a substitute for the three-way shot when necessary.

The boss here is a giant shrimp. All you have to do is equip the big fireball, run to the right, keep firing big fireballs at him, avoid the green fireballs that come down, then run to the other side after two sets of green fireballs so you can fight it on the left. The shrimp will go down in no time.

If you are in human form, you will have to get closer and you will have to watch out for the fireballs. Also, you'll have to get to the other side after the second set of fireballs sooner. Other than that, this boss is easy when you know what to do.
