PrinceWatercress plays Wolfchild (Super NES) - Stage 5 of 5

Here we are: the final level of Wolfchild!

Stage 5: Inner Core

Slowly advance whenever you see the pipes on the ceiling so you do not get hit by a falling projectile.

A little later in the stage, you will want to watch out for shots being fired from above.

After that point at 2:27, you want to leap to the left off the right-most elevators, then immediately jump left to the third as soon as you land to get to the continue point.

The purple fireball icon gives you a homing shot. It's not very powerful, but it does a good job at tracking enemies.

In section , you will want to watch out for the gold dragon heads, as they will shoot at you from both sides. The one facing left is the worse of the two, since it shoots low instead of high. Stay on the move against those things.

Also, wait for the platform that movies horizontally to start moving back and forth across a small spike pit to jump to a continue point; otherwise, you will be going in a circle.

The rotating square platforms with spikes on one side also make a return appearance n the second part of Stage 5.

The boss is Karl Draxx, the leader of Chimera and the one responsible for this mess! Equip the big fireball and keep hitting him with them. He will jump up and shoot a homing shot before rolling to the otehr side. Avoid the homing missile and jump over him as he rolls to the other side, and keep shooting at him. After two rolls, he sends some rocks down from the ceiling, but you can stand between the rocks easily. The homing missile can also be cancelled out with one of your projectile if you are unable to run away from it for any reason.

If you lose a lot of health early in the boss battle, you want to wait until he sends the rocks down to punch at him.

After Karl Draxx takes enough damage, he seemingly disappears only to transform into a monster. If you get close to him when eh dies, he turns into a giant black werewolf. Move around when he teleports so he does not hit you, and watch the green fireballs that he can produce. If you get trapped in a corner, stop firing and jump over him when he ducks down and rears back. If you lose your werewolf form, use your smart bombs if you need to. He'll eventually go down, and you'll have beaten Wolfchild for the Super Nintendo!
