PrinceWatercress plays Wolfchild (Super NES) - Stage 3 of 5

...and now the difficulty of the game picks up a little bit!

Stage 3: Ancient Temple

The flies that fly towards you take three hits to kill. The boulders will explode, so just run away from them.

Be careful as you go through the stage, especially in area where bugs cover the floors and ceilings. There are shrimp-like enemies that will drop down from the ceiling if you get close enough to where they are, and you won't see them until they drop down. Your best bet to avoid them is to inch forward when you are in these areas.

The things that look like claws or tuning forks are spikes. Stay away from them.

If you see what look like thin, wiry claws in the ground, those are beetles. If you get close enough, they will try to eat at you, and if you stop short of running into where they are, they will fail.

The bugs that tiptoe around takes a lot of abuse before they die, and they will pound on you if you get too close. Thankfully, two big fireballs is all it takes to get them out of your hair.

The green larva-like bug is a platform that will get you across spike pits.

The white nebula icon gives you a different, smaller fireball that can be shot rapidly but at the same time is less powerful. Watch your weapon energy!

The thing that looks like a tall slug larvae shoots mortar shots. Taking it out from a distance will allow you to not get hit.

If the floors, walls and ceilings have a different appearance, you can walk through them.

Ceiling pods shoot out one homing missile that you will have to run away from to avoid.

Do not jump on the brick bridge; otherwise, the bricks you land on will fall and you can hurt yourself on the spikes below.

If you see what looks like a face on the wall, it is going to shoot darts forward. You can duck to avoid the darts.

Unlike the first two stages, there is two sections before the boss. Go to the left at the start of the second section unless you want to talk into a wall. Watch out for the floor beetle.

Shortly after the start, there is a maze of destructible blocks. The silver grasshopper will take you to higher areas if you stand on it.

When you reach the area with the spider webs on the floor and ceiling, you will want to tread carefully as there are circular saw blades that will come out from both above and below. Watch where the blades go before making your next move.

The snails on the wall will take you to a full health power-up if you jump onto it. Also, duck under the pendulum saws to minimize damage.

The green floors are slippery and do have ice physics.

The three-way shot is just that: a three-way shot that moves forward and diagonally.

The boss here is a series of spider-men. Stay in the center room and keep attacking them. That's all you do. If you are in human form, keep punching very, very fast. All they do is run around the room. There will be a lot of them, but you will eventually take them all down if you know what to do.
