PrinceWatercress plays WWF Royal Rumble (Super NES/Genesis) - Part 5 of 16

One was on the way out, but the other was on the way up at the time the game came out.

Razor Ramon started off very well in 1992, but 1993 was when his WWE career really took off. He would challenge Bret "The Hit Man" Hart for the WWE Championship - which he would not win or challenge for much again - but he would feud with The 1-2-3 Kid in a rivalry that started with an upset win from The Kid. Razor started to respect The Kid as The Kid kept outsmarting him, which caused "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster to make fun of him. This led to a face turn from Razor, a win against DiBiase in the latter's last-ever WWE match at SummerSlam, and eventually, four WWE Intercontinental Championship reigns, which was a record at the time.

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan was on his way out in 1993. At this point, much of the very popular guys that were in the Golden Era had left or went into a reduced role after 1992, and Jim Duggan was no exception. Nevertheless, he had a feud with Yokozuna that would round out his time in WWE that would also see Duggan somehow body slam Yokozuna. He would be gone shortly after SummerSlam, after which he would show up in WCW the following year and eventually become a United States champion. Nevertheless, he's still fondly remembered today.
