We play as all the characters one last time...
Cyclops
If you were expecting these "third stages" to be even harder, you're in for a treat: these stages are amazingly easy. For Cyclops, just make your way to the end and take out enemies on your way. This level is amazingly short, so don't worry about dying if you're actually giving the stage a shot.
When you make it to the end, a green light will weaken Cyclops. This is part of the storyline, so don't worry about losing a life for no reason.
Wolverine
This is yet another easy level.
I should mention that each X-Man's level has all the enemies from their previous two obstacle courses of pain and suffering.
Gambit
This one is just as easy, but you'll be making some jumps that are difficult only because they're either completely awkward of happen to be leaps of faith that the game expects you to know about. I hate this stage just from looking at it. At least it's mercifully short.
Storm
OH SWEET JESUS IT'S NOT A SWIMMING LEVEL
Anyway, Storm can shoot into the air like Cyclops. She has two whirlwinds that she can summon whenever necessary (which work like Gambit's special attack), and her jump is really, really high.
Other than that, there's only one type of enemy, and he's really easy: just some soldier with a machine gun or mortar rocket. Fun.
