Amazingly, this is one of the better stages...if you don't mind dying a lot.
Cyclops Stage 1
As Cyclops, you can punch, kick and shoot. You can also aim upwards and downwards with the optic blast. Nice.
The little red gems give you a few points. They also refill a sliver of your health, so save them when you need them. I guess they're ruby quartz?
The mine carts will only follow the brown path on the ground, and will come to a dead stop when you reach either end of that path. Never land on that path with your feet, as you will get shocked and instantly lose a life.
The soldiers are just your everyday vanilla enemy. Just hit them with optic blasts from a distance (or from above, since some are on platforms).
The gears fly around in a square-like pattern and shoot at you when you're close. Thankfully, it takes just one optic blast to take a gear out.
The stalactites fall when you come a certain distance close to them, so be careful. They can't kill you, but they can still be annoying when you don't know they're there. You can take them out with an optic blast, though.
Some of the platforms are actually crushing ceilings, and you won't know that they are until it's too late and you've already lost a life. Unless you know where you are in the level, be careful.
The tiny flashing circles on the mine cart paths are explosives. Take them out with an optic blast before they do the same to you!
Hit the yellow cave people with your kick, so you can hit them from a distance. Your optic blast just bounces off of them. That's no good. They can also hit you with rocks, so duck until they're in boot range.
Whenever you see a stationary mine cart full of pink crystals, shoot at it until it's destroyed. You'll refill some of your life.
The big red gem refills some health and also turns your red health bar to orange for a brief amount of time. I guess that means invincibility? I dunno.
The boss here is a Sentinel. Jump over the bullet, and when its arm is raised, duck and shoot to avoid the pink lasers. Stay on the move a little bit when it's flying around, which is when you'll be able to get more shots on it with the optic blast.
When it blows up, jump across the platforms and go all the way to the right. Epic win at a game with bad controls!
