Operation Logic Bomb - The Music

Here's all the music from Operation Logic Bomb!

PrinceWatercress plays Operation Logic Bomb - Part 4 of 4

It's time to head to the dimension where all these robots and things are coming from and stop this attack on the real world once and for all!

After taking out the flies, equip the homing missiles and shoot down the robots with them, then go north and destroy the turrets. When you cross the bridge that materializes to the north, you'll fight another crab enemy. Simply avoid the shots and kill it with the homing missiles. Get on the nearby teleportation pad and use the homing missiles to take care of the red robots, then go south and use the homing missiles to destroy even more robots...as well as some turrets. Head to the east, laying waste to everything as you go. After destroying the blobs, go to the north and use the homing missiles again to make easier works of the flies. Go west to destroy the yellow robots as well as the dimensional error machine. To the south of the machine is another teleportation pad...and the second boss battle.

Remember the homing missiles mentioned in the last entry? Well, you'll definitely going to need them here. Keep facing upwards and keep shooting, stay near the walls and away from the shots, and use a mine to do some extra damage if you need to. If you can get one mine explosion to connect, you will definitely destroy this thing in record time.

When you step back on the teleporter pad, you'll be surrounded by flies. Take them out with the homing missiles. Ditto with the red robots and blobs. From there, take the bridge that materializes to the west, then use the terminal north of the bridge to refill your health. Follow the path to the west, then go through the doorway to the north. Use the homing missiles to take out the crab enemy. It will leave a disk behind. It's that same disk from the cutscene in the last video! Step on it, and just like that scientist, you'll be blue and glowing. There's only one way to go: to the east and into the dimensional error. Welcome to the virtual world.

Use the homing missiles to take down the enemies here, which are no different from those you've fought in the real world, and pay attention to where you're going. Thanks to the moving hexagons in the foreground, it's a little harder to see where you're going or what's coming at you. At least the music here is pretty cool and the path is pretty linear.

At the end of the path is the entryway to the final boss.

You'll need to use the flamethrower to get rid of one of the turrets, then use the three-way shot to take care of the other one. If you need to use the holographic decoy to take care of this (which I should have done), do it.

Use the decoy to get the blobs to one side, then get in the center and stand all the way back to shoot the open center of the boss with the flamethrower. When the decoy disappears, lay another one close by and go back to where you were standing to fry the boss and get rid of whatever health it has left. If you stand just far enough, the green lightning that the boss shoots at you - which will really drain your health, by the way - won't be able to hurt you.

Once the boss is gone, walk north. You'll meet the scientists. Destroy the machines on the generators just up ahead. The area around the base will return to normal! Congratulations! You've beaten Operation Logic Bomb!

PrinceWatercress plays Operation Logic Bomb - Part 3 of 4

You don't want to miss these homing missiles. They really make the game easier to get through.

There are turrets to the west. Take them out with the three-way shot. Ditto to the ones behind the door that opens in that direction. Equip the flamethrower to take down the robots and the blobs further into the room, then enter the door to the north. The flamethrower will continue to make quick work of the robots in your way, and the three-way shot will do the same to the turrets that will block your path. You'll open a bridge up, but you don't want to go down there just yet. Instead, go back to where the first couple of turrets were and interact with the terminal on the north wall to get the map. Now you can take the bridge.

Use the flamethrower on the robots and the flies. You'll open another bridge to the east. Use the three-way shot on the turrets at the other side to destroy them from an angle. Switch back to the flamethrower for the blobs. You'll open another bridge to the east. Keep the three-way shot equipped for the robots at the other side. Destroy the nearby machine to correct the dimensional errors.

Go back to the first bridge you crossed. Instead of going to the teleporter pad, go through the wall to the northeast. There is a hidden passage inside that is way too easy to miss, and you want to take it. Keep going to the right, and you'll find another teleporter pad. This takes you to a hidden room in Base A with a weapon box inside. Congratulations, you just got the homing missiles, which make the game easier and more enjoyable. They do exactly what you would expect them to do: home in on enemies. Take the pad again, and you'll be back to the beginning of the area. Now you can take the teleporter pad that you passed by earlier.

From here, go to the east and test out your new weapon on the robots. Continue to use the flamethrower on the blob enemies. The nearby terminal will refill your health if you need to. When you make your way to the southeast corner of the area and go through the door to your north, you'll see those electric spark balls. Use the homing missiles to take out the gray console in the room quickly, then use the terminal to get the map if you want it. Go to the north and take out the turrets with the homing missiles as you follow the path to minimize damage, When you start seeing the flies, go to the west and you'll see another dimensional error machine to destroy. Just be sure to hit all those robots with the homing missiles first. The terminal to the north of the machine gives you another cutscene, where you'll see a gray and brown crab lay a disc on the ground that a nearby scientist steps on. It turns the scientist blue, and as he glows, he disappears when he steps into the dimensional error on the ground. Hmmmm...

From here, if you go north, you'll find another grey console, but a barrier stops you from getting anywhere near it. Instead, you'll want to head south and hit the teleportation pad..twice. Shoot the northeast corner of the room (the part with the sludge coming out) with the flamethrower to open a passageway to the north. Keep the flamethrower equipped so you can kill the blobs. When you kill the blobs and the robots, you'll not only open a bridge to the west, but the terminal to the east will activate. This will give you the map for section B-2.

Make your way to the west, and take down the robots with the homing missiles. Go further west and you'll find another box. This gives you your first secondary weapon: a holographic decoy that can distract enemies. Press the Y button to use the decoy.

From the box, head south and take out the blobs with the flamethrower. Switch to the homing missiles for the robots and turrets that pop up afterwards. Head south from here and hit the robots with the homing missiles. Destroy the dimensional error machine to the south.

If you step on the nearby teleportation pad, you'll find a wall with a crack in the southwest corner of the area. You won't be able to do anything about it...yet. Get back on the teleportation pad to return to the previous area and head back to the area with the barriers. Plant a decoy on one side of the room, then equip the laser and shoot it through the narrow gap on the other side from a diagonal direction. With the barrier thinking the decoy is you, you'll be free to destroy the gray console and open the door to the west, which leads to another teleportation pad. Don't take it...yet. If you need to get health replenished, go back to the health replenishment terminal mentioned earlier in this blog entry. Then take that pad. Inside the next room is another weapons box that will give you the mine. You can switch to it with the A button and lay one down with A. Instead of exploding in a blast radius like in the Zelda games. the explosion goes in the direction you are facing when you lay it. In other words, you have to face what you want to damage with it when you use it so the explosion travels towards it.

Go back to that wall with the crack, which you will do when you go back on the teleportation pad. Blow it up, go south and take out the flies.

PrinceWatercress plays Operation Logic Bomb - Part 2 of 4

This adventure has just begun! We clear out the first base and make our way to the second base. But even the outside world has dangers of its own...

We are now in Sector A-4. Head to the west and shoot down all the robots in the room. This opens a door to the west. Shoot down the enemies here from blind corners, and you'll eventually take them all out while taking minimal damage. You can now go north. When you take care of the robots, head south and fire at the blobs while facing north. Once they're down, you can go further north where some yellow robots are waiting for you. Destroy the error-producing machine you see, and you'll be able to get the map at the nearby terminal.

From here, you'll need to explore more of the area. Avoid the teleporter pad in the earlier room for now, and go east of where you started. Destroy the downed cyborg bodies to the north, and you'll soon learn that they have surrounded what look like a damaged cannon. Walk up to it and touch it, and you'll trigger a cutscene of how these cyborgs were killed: by way of a giant robotic crab. One of them had a flamethrower, which allowed them to disarm one of the cannons before their untimely demise. Pay attention to the crab's attacks, as the crab attacks with homing missiles and a spread shot attack when you face it for real. You'll obviously need a flamethrower, too, so you'll have to go looking for it.

There is a teleporter pad near the destroyed cannon. Step on it and you'll end up in a different area. This is the other base, also known as Section B. To the east is a box. Touch it to get the flamethrower, which can do quite a bit of damage up closer and also bounce off walls, in a way to get stuff from blind corners that would be unsafe or unwise to take out head-on. Step back on the teleporter pad and you'll be back at Section A-4.

Go back to the teleporter pad you skipped earlier. Take out the turrets with the flamethrower. Touch the flashing terminal if you want to restore your health, then get back on the teleporter pad. You'll be in another section of A-4. Take out the yellow robots with the flamethower, then move into the room to the north and lure the electric spark balls all the way to the other end of the area. If you can get the balls caught on a wall, you're all set to take out the two gray consoles in the corners with the flamethrower. When the consoles are destroyed, the door to the north will be open and the balls will be destroyed.

Entering the door that you just opened will lead you straight to the crab boss. Mode 7 simulates an elevator ride down to where you will meet it. Equip the flamethrower if you haven't already and destroy the arm cannon to the left. Keep strafing as you fire and always face north. Shoot at the center of the crab with the flamethrower and you'll take it out in no time with minimal damage. You'll return to the previous room, where a teleporter pad will be flashing. Step on it, and you will be taken to an outside area leading to the second base. Watch out for the rock turrets, which fire at you and are vulnerable when opening up to fire. Thankfully, they can only fire in eight directions, so keep that in mind in case you have to approach them from odd angles. Hug the walls with the flamethrower to take them out, and watch out for the blobs and robots. Touch the blue cylinders creating the dimensional errors to get rid of them, and watch as the landscape transforms back to normal right before your eyes.

You'll meet a new enemy at the second dimensional error: red flies that will flap their wings towards you. Quickly destroy them with the flamethrower, then touch the blue cylinder to remove the dimensional error. You'll now see a few bushes and some grass before you take on some rock turrets.

You'll have to use the three-way shot to take on the next set of rock turrets. Keep firing and moving to avoid damage, then touch the blue cylinder to remove the next dimensional errors. The next set of rock turrets after this will need a combination of both the flamethrower and the three-way shot if you don't want to take a lot of hits.

After you touch one more blue cylinder, you'll have some more blobs, robots and flies to deal with. Take it home with the flamethrower and tough the last cylinder to reveal a teleporter pad. You are now at Base B. Take out the robots to the west as well as the turrets that are there. This is just beginning...

PrinceWatercress plays Operation Logic Bomb - Part 1 of 4

It's the ultimate search and destroy as you head to a laboratory complex and find out why everything has gone wrong!

The game starts out in a top-down perspective, which is the perspective you'll be seeing throughout the game. The Control Pad moves you around, B lets you shoot your primary weapon and Y lets you shoot your secondary weapon. A lets you switch between the straight shot and the three-way shot on the B button, while X will let you switch between the secondary weapons. Holding R allows you to strafe while facing a certain direction, which helps immensely with crowd control, especially in the later areas of the game.

The straight shot is faster, but the three-way shot lets you hit enemies at a slightly wider radius, which can help with crowd control. You'll probably be using the three-way shot more often.

You are in a base where scientists have learn to teleport things from one place to another by means of inter-dimensional rifts. Unfortunately, some unknown events have gone down in the scientists' place of research. You are the cyborg soldier sent in to see what happened and take care of business, should it occur.

There will be a glass wall in front of you at the start of the game. Shoot it down with the B button. Thankfully, the path will be very linear at the start. Go past where the glass wall was and shoot down the barrels, as the door to the north will not open regardless of what you do. This will blow up the wall to the east. From there, there is a creature attached to a generator. Shoot at it until it dies. The power will come back on, and the entire building will be lit up. When you go back to where the barrels were, some yellow robots will be guarding the doors. Shoot them down with your gun, and try not to get hit. The door will finally open.

There is a terminal to the north of the door. Simply walk up to it and you will download the map for the current area. There are several maps in the game, and while you don't necessarily need them to beat the game, they are definitely useful to have. Just pause the game, and you'll see where your current position is as well as those for any terminals that you have not interacted with yet. You'll also which area of the base you're in. The first letter will either be A or B, and these two areas, or bases, will have four sectors each.

There is an automatically firing turret. When you shoot it down, four more pop up around where the original one was. You'll have to destroy them all. From there, some red robots will show up, and you'll have to destroy those, too. Watch out for those red fireballs that come out of their guns as you go down the path. At this point, holding the R button to strafe will come in handy.

As you go through the base, you'll see areas with flashing hexagons that you cannot walk on. That is the so-called virtual world that is bleeding into the real world due to the mysterious robots and other forces that are crossing over through the inter-dimensional rifts into the real world to take the base - and if they get their way, the real world - over.

You'll eventually come across a crab boss. Stay left or right of center and fire at the crab with the three-way shot, and you'll be able to kill the crab without taking damage. It will leave something behind. Touch it. You'll get footage of the crab setting up a machine that lets the virtual world bleed into the real world, allowing cyborg soldiers to cross over and take over the base. One of the cyborgs refuses to attack the real world and gets destroyed by its crab overlord, forcing the other three to reluctantly cross over and do as they're told.

A door will open nearby. There are two flashing green barriers shooting orange dots. You will have to deactivate them by triggering a switch of some sort. That machine is that grey thing to the left of these barriers. Face the machine, then shoot it down to deactivate the barriers. The door to the north will open. Walk in, and you'll see that machine that was in the cutscene we saw earlier. Shoot at the center of it until it explodes. All of the black areas with the hexagons - also known as "dimensional errors" - will disappear from the current area, and so will any enemies. Across from where the machine was is some more security footage, where a different looking crab enemy is seen setting the machine up. This is where you learn about the dimensional errors.

Head to the west. There is another terminal on the north wall which will give you some more footage. Here, you'll see video of the scientists at work, with two of them using a teleportation pad. The power goes off, but the back-up generator kicks in. When that happens, however, the red robots show up and start attacking the scientists. The footage takes place where you just activated this terminal, and now that you've seen the footage, you can finally use the pad to the left. Step on it, and you'll be whisked away to another part of the base. From there, step on it again. You won't be able to do much at the first place you teleported to, but at the second place you've ended up at, you will.

Follow the path and you'll find a box. This box gives you the reflective laser, which can bounce off walls at 45-degree angles and hit enemies on blind corners, which can definitely come in handy.

When you come back from that cutscene, some mechanical-looking blobs will show up. Keep shooting at them from a distance to hold them back and eventually destroy them. Head back to the south and position yourself with some adept strafing to destroy the turrets. You'll then have to deal with some red robots as you make your way further south, as a door will open up south of where you started here.

You'll then see three turrets next to one another. Switch to the laser with the A button, face south-east and fire away with B.

To the east is another terminal. If you're running low on health, use it. Your health will be completely refilled. It only works one time, however, and cannot be used again. Learning to conserve your health in this game is the number one thing you will have to learn in order to beat this game, and you will learn this quickly, especially when you find out that you only have three continues. Lose all your health, and you'll have to use one of them in order to continue with the game. Yep, this game has continues as lives. Oh, boy.

To the south of that terminal is another map, which will definitely be useful. By checking the map here, you'll find out that you started at sector A-1 and are now at sector A-3.

To the right of the health terminal is another set of barriers. Stay close to the west wall and make your way south, then go west and destroy the machine to deactivate the barriers. You'll open up a door nearby to the north. You'll meet the energy orbs for the first time. Stay away from these things at all costs, as these things can destroy you if given the chance. Make your way north and destroy the gray terminal to destroy them, then take care of the blobs, red robots and turrets that pop up. There will be another door that opens in the corner that you'll have to enter.

Go through it and take care of the red robots. There will be another error-creating machine in the corner. Destroy it and the sector will be secure. If you need to refill your health, do so now at the aforementioned terminal.

To the left of where the machine was is the terminal. Step on it and you'll be in Sector A-2. Take out the turrets to the north with the three-way shot (careful, now) and destroy the red robots as you follow the path. There will be two more turrets around the corner. Take them out. A door will open to the south, where you will meet some more blobs, red robots and turrets to destroy. You'll find another door to the north at the end of the path where you'll fight even more of the same. Behind the two turrets is another door, and behind it you will meet the yellow robots. These guys are even faster than the red ones, so be careful. After you waste them, destroy the dimensional error machine to secure the sector.

Go to the right of the machine and you'll find a gray console. Shoot the laser through the hole and aim carefully so the laser bounces off the walls of the narrow corridor. This will open a door to the north which leads to a massive empty room. It won't be empty for long, as the red and gray crab boss from earlier will show up. Get to the side and keep some distance. Keep shooting with the three-way shot and avoid the red projectiles. You'll be able to step on the nearby teleporter pad.

Shoot at the yellow robots guarding the door, then carefully destroy the turrets. This opens the door to the north, where you'll fight a gray and blue crab. Stay just to the side of center and shoot it with the three-way shot until it dies. It will leave some security footage of an outside section of the base, where a gray and blue crab lays a small device that creates dimensional errors.

In the next room is two more yellow robots, followed by another dimensional error machine. Take it down and this sector will be secure. Get on the teleporter pad you started this sector on and you'll enter an all-new sector.
