In this entry, we finally finish our business in the Aztec Era. Viking Era, here we come!
In The Sacred Ride, you'll be riding a dragon through the stage. In the first section, you'll need to use Left and Right on the D-Pad to move left and right, X to jump, and Square to breathe fire. You'll be holding Circle to glide in mid-air in the free-roaming sections.
When you see a part of a bridge that looks unstable, jump over it; otherwise, you're falling into a pit and losing a life. You'll also need to breathe fire on the crates to break them, as well as to get rid of any enemies in your way. Also, if you miss something in a section that has you on rails, you'll have to replay the level in order to get it.
The second section gives you full control of the dragon, allowing you to move anywhere. Press and hold Circle while in mid-air to glide from platform to platform, and watch out for the volcanic rocks that fall on some of the platforms. Thankfully, they leave a shadow for you to avoid before hitting the ground.
The third section has you outrunning lava much like in the Crash Bandicoot games of the era. You can still move normally, just like in those games, but the camera will be directly in front of you. You'll need to be careful getting everything here so as not to get burned by the lava. Also, there will be columns that will drop down in front of you as you go; you'll have to jump over them. If anybody gets in your way while they run from the lava, scorch them with Square. At the end is the third and final Boss Coin of the Aztec Era.

4:07 - The fourth crate.
5:20 - The fifth and final crate.
And with that, it's time to head to Sam's Temple, which is located at the top of the pyramid near the entrance to the Golden City.
In this area, you won't be able to press L1 to call the other character. You'll have to keep track of where Bugs and Taz are at all times.
Look behind yourself at the start for ten gears.
7:04 - To defeat this guard, you'll have to wait for him to get his club caught on the floor before you can kick him from behind, which can be pretty tough to do. I tank a whole bunch of damage, then try to get behind him and kick him instead.
8:50 - These floor scrapes hint at the fact that you can push a wall with Taz. By doing this, you can find new rooms and pick-ups that you wouldn't be able to see. To protect yourself from the falling blocks, pick up the steel cube with Taz, then carry it over your head as you move around and get things. Keep in mind that the steel cube will not last forever and it will eventually be destroyed. Keep in mind that the debris from the falling blocks can also hit you if it touches you.
9:57 - The first crate.
10:10 - In this room, grab the torch with Bugs and light it, then use the lit torch on the ropes to open the next door.
11:47 - Place the block where the shadow is with Taz, then get Taz on top of the block. Jump on top of Taz with Bugs to get the gears.
13:12 - The second crate.
13:22 - The last out-of-time character for the Aztec Era. You can now get the crystal gear worth one hundred gears in the Golden City hubworld.
14:34 - For this room, you'll need to get one character on the yellow tile and keep them there. Another tile will turn yellow. Put the other character on that tile. A third title will turn yellow. Switch to the character closer to the tile and quickly get onto that tile. Repeat until all the tiles are green. This nets you twenty-five gears.
16:46 - For this part, you'll need to get Bugs through this part by sneaking behind the guards so they cannot see you. If you get seen, or if you are not holding Circle to sneak, you'll get sent back to the beginning. Hit the switch when you get to the end, then take the high road to get out and get stuff.
17:59 - The third crate.
18:14 - The fourth crate.
19:12 - Once you spin on the spin pad with Taz, you'll need to grab a steel crate and use it to protect yourself from the falling blocks so you can jump on the switch at the end. This will rotate the statue so the nearby pit will be filled with water, allowing you to continue to Sam. If you drop down to explore what's underneath, you'll find more collectibles. While underneath the falling block path, do not jump; the debris can still hit you.
19:37 - The fifth and final crate.
21:42 - We finally meet Sam. Daffy Duck tricks Sam into freeing him, then Sam chases after him and forgets that we exist.
22:51 - While Sam is out, you'll need to push the columns with Taz. As you do this, you'll see cutscenes of Sam looking for Daffy. Once you push all three, Sam will grab a lit torch and come after you.
Switch to Bugs and run around until Sam gets winded, then kick him and grab the torch. Get Taz in front of a column, then jump on Taz to get on top of the platform and burn the rope. When you get the torch, Sam will run away and get another torch. When you burn a rope, he will come back with another torch. You'll have to repeat this two more times, and when you do, you'll crush Sam with a block in the center of the room. The Time Gem will be on top of that block, but Daffy will return and run off with it. Nevertheless, you're done with the Aztec Era and you'll be able to continue to the Viking Era.
From here, you can go through the open door and end up back in the Golden City.
26:45 - Here's the final one hundred gears. We are done in the Aztec Era. From here, we head to the entrance to the Viking Era.
