NintendoCapriSun plays Kid Icarus - Part 7 of 7

Here it is: the ending to Kid Icarus! Now to see if I can get through the game myself...

World 4-1

Here, NintendoCapriSun uses a password that takes him to the final level with all of the updates, and it is as follows: ICARUS FIGHTS MEDUSA ANGELS. Unfortunately, while this gives all the shot upgrades and a ton of items and the best ending, this one takes you back to Stage 2-4, and NCS has to get all the way back.

B shoots, while the D-Pad moves you in all directions. You'll also have a shield in front of you, too.

The green enemies drop down in groups, while the flying enemies will come in from both sides of the screen and will come Pit. You'll definitely want to watch the flying enemies.

The one-eyed wizards shoot fireballs, and they split into three when shot. You'll have to watch for those parts, as they will come at you as you try to shoot the parts down to get rid of them for good.

The flying enemies with the wings will move up and down as they fly at Pit.

The green plants will move up from the bottom of the screen, float for a while, then come back down.

The ghosts just move up and down from the top of the screen to the bottom. That's it.

When the music changes, you'll face Medusa. Watch out for the green worm that bounces up and down, and use the shield to block the beams. There is a spot in the middle all the way to the left that allows you to continuously fire at Medusa's eye while avoiding all the attacks (while destroying the green worm at times if your arrow hits the head). After enough shots, Medusa's eye will be gone, Medusa will die and you will rescue Palutena. From here, Pit's appearance will change depending on how well you did (the tall, muscular Pit with the angels around the screen and Palutena kissing Pit is the best ending, and was added for the Western version), and the credits roll before the game loops with everything that you've gotten in your playthrough carrying over, even in the password that you get at this point.
