PrinceWatercress plays Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time - Part 47 of 48

The arcade machines are all that's left. Let's get into it.

Prologue/Epilogue - Maximum Chaos

Maximum Chaos from the epilogue should have been the last one that I played, not the first, as it is a compilation of all the Bentley hacking mini-games: Alter Ego, Spark Runner and System Cracker, in that order.

The easiest way to beat the high score of 4,000 points is to get good at the first third of the game, which is Alter Ego. If you can get through the Alter Ego section of Maximum Chaos without getting hit and while taking out as many of the enemies as possible, you can easily get all the points you need for the high score without even having to get points in the Spark Runner section or playing the rest of Maximum Chaos.

To get the Sly Mask, you'll need to make it to the end of the Spark Runner section and position yourself just up and left of the exit. Even if you fall through the hole leading into the bottomless pit and fail, as long as you grab the Sly Mask, you'll get credit for it.

Episode 1 - Alter Ego

For Alter Ego in Episode 1, you'll want to get good at this to the point that you can get through this whole arcade game without getting hit. Be sure to use the grenades when surrounded by a large amount of enemies, and keep getting all of those power-up pick-ups even when you're at max level to ensure that you keep getting large amounts of points whenever possible.

There is a portal that comes out of nowhere in the middle of the first section of the arcade game here, and you'll have to stay near the top to get to it. If you can get into the portal, you'll be rewarded with the Sly Mask as well as a ton of pick-ups to help you power up if you need them. And even if you don't, they'll all be worth 10 points apiece at max level, so be sure to get them all.

Episode 2 - System Cracker

For System Cracker in Episode 2, you'll need to defeat all the enemies while taking as little damage as possible. For best results, you'll want to move around in a circle while also moving the turret so you can shoot down enemies quickly.

There are two instances when you will have to face the hexagon tanks with the bullets that split into three. When the arena is mostly empty, stay away from the center.

To beat the second, larger hexagon tank, keep firing at it until it has two sets of hexagons: one purple and one blue. Switch to the blue vehicle, hold R1 and make a circle around it. If you can pull it off, you'll be able to create the energy field and take out the blue hexagons. You can then switch to the purple tank and shoot down the purple hexagons before switching back to the default green form to finish the last part off.

In the first area where you can switch to the purple tank, take out all the enemies, then destroy the wall on the east end with the tank form to find the Sly Mask for this arcade machine.

Episode 3 - Spark Runner

The good news is that the arcade machine in Episode 3 is the only one aside from the one in the epilogue to have Spark Runner. The bad news is, you have to go through heck and back in order to get past 1000 points and beat the high score for this one. The only hints that I can really give for this is that trial and error will definitely be happening, pausing the game and selecting "Restart Checkpoint" just before you fall off will load the game faster, hitting the bumpers a few times for extra points while getting the time bonuses at the beginning helps out a lot, and motion controls need to be thrown into the garbage.

To get the Sly Mask for this game, you'll need to keep hitting the bumpers at the beginning of the game until a Sly Mask shows up just left of where you start. You'll just need to hit all of them at least once for the Sly Mask to show up, but it works.

Episode 4 - Super Alter Ego

There's not much else different to say with Episode 4's Super Alter Ego other than getting to Level 10, not getting hit, using your grenades against the wall enemies and shooting all the enemies you possibly can will all help here if you want to beat the high score of 20,000 points. Thankfully, my experience with the epilogue as well as Episode 1 allowed for me to go through this one on the first try.

The Sly Mask is located in a portal at the bottom of the screen very early on in the second section. You'll have to be a little quick to get to it, but once you're in, the Sly Mask will be in plain sight. Once you go through this portal, however, you can't go through it again, so you'll have to go through the rest of the arcade game normally to get the rest of your points.

Episode 5 - System Cracker Extreme

Episode 5's System Cracker Extreme is one long System Cracker stage that has you using all three forms of your vehicle. Amazingly, I was able to get some health here, sometimes when I least expected this. If I look lost in any point in the footage for this, that's because this was my first and only try and I had a very good idea of what I was doing battle-wise.

If there's an enemy to kill, kill it. If there's a wall to destroy with the tank, destroy it. Anything you can shoot with the gun gives you points. Speaking of which, the boss from System Cracker also comes back, but it is beaten in the same manner as in Episode 2.

In one section with the purple tank, there is a large section full of spinning electrical bars. There is a wall to the west that you can blast through with your gun here, and if you do that and go to the other side, you'll find the Sly Mask for this section.

Collectibles

Sly Mask #55 - It's just northwest of the exit of the Spark Chaser exit in Maximum Chaos in the Paris hideout.

Sly Mask #56 - In the middle of the first section of the Alter Ego arcade machine in Episode 1, there is a portal surrounded by destructible walls. If you can get into it, you'll find the Sly Mask.

Sly Mask #57 - Just before the exit, destroy the wall on the east side in the last section of System Cracker in Episode 2 to find the Sly Mask.

Sly Mask #58 - If you keep hitting the bumpers at the beginning of the Spark Chaser arcade machine in Episode 3, you'll cause a Sly Mask to suddenly pop up.

Sly Mask #59 - At the beginning of the second section in Super Alter Ego in Episode 4, there will be a portal at the bottom. If you enter it, you'll find the Sly Mask.

Sly Mask #60 - In one section with the purple tank in System Cracker Extreme in Episode 5, there is a large section full of spinning electrical bars. There is a wall to the west that you can blast through with your gun here, and if you do that and go to the other side, you'll find the Sly Mask for this section.
