One of many fine reviews from Classic Game Room!
Part nostalgia-bomb, part note-taking and part FAQ, what started in GameTrailers as a video game blog is now on Blogger. This blog is a look back at video games, both popular and obscure, from the video game industry's infancy all the way to the previous console generation.

Diniz Games plays Panzer Dragoon II Zwei - Part 3 of 5
At this point, your companion is now a full-blown dragon. This game is pretty neat.
Episode 4
Now we're really flying.
It wasn't noticeable to me at first, but as you clear stages, your health and super meters increase in size.
Episode 4 in this game is like Episode 4 in the last game...in the beginning, at least. You'll have to deal with those automatically opening doors, winding corridors and zillions of flying enemies that want to send lasers straight into your face.
If you get completely surrounded by enemies on all sides, just lock on to enemies as you rotate the camera. Kill a few off at a time.
You'll also be surrounded by enemies on that slow elevator ride. Use your super here if you need to.
After that elevator ride, it'll be some more flying before you start crossing a bridge. It's boss time!
Shoot down the giant fish, and take out all of its firepower as you fight it. Do as much damage to it as you can when it starts destroying the bridge from behind you so you can give yourself an advantage. When it takes down the bridge partitions in front of you, you'll be flying again. This is you chance to use a combination of regular and charged shots, as well as your super. Watch out for the red projectiles that it sends into the sky, its tail and the lasers that it tries to hit you with. You can only hit the giant fish when it's out of the water.
Episode 5
The first enemy you'll face is a ship that sends out a bunch of pods that fire at you, making the beginning of this level a fight against threats on all sides. Keep moving to avoid the pods' firepower and take the ship down with charged shots.
After fighting a bunch of enemies that look like winged seraphs, you'll fight another giant ship like the one you saw at the beginning. This one is a boss. Watch out for the lasers and missiles that it shoots at you, and take it down with everything you've got while keeping an eye out for the shield that revolves around it (which can blocked charged and super shots).
Diniz Games plays Panzer Dragoon II Zwei - Part 2 of 5
This mechanic of your Khourieat growing and evolving as you progress through the game is really neat.
Episode 2
When you start the level, you'll be shooting down all sorts of creatures coming out from underground to hit you from behind. They can be killed easily with a few shots.
Once they're gone, start looking forward again. You'll start seeing Imperial ships from a distance. You'll also take on some Imperial Khourieat riders, but they're pretty easy, too.
Once your ride jumps off the cliff, you'll be flying. Finally! As you're flying, keep a close eye on the radar in the upper-right hand corner of the screen to find out where all the aerial troops are coming from.
The big Imperial ships shoot spiked cannonballs at you as you take them out. You'll have to fly around them to keep from taking unnecessary damage.
Once you reach the ground, it'll be a few seconds before you touch the floor and start running again. You'll then fight the boss.
We finally find out what that green gauge above the health meter does: it's for the new super attack. All you have to do is lock on and set it off, and you'll shoot a huge rain of lasers. This is best used for bosses, as this attack can put a good dent in them.
As you fight the boss, avoid and/or shoot down the missiles and debris. If you use your super attack here, you can shoot those things to refill the gauge for it. Once you fill it up, let 'em have it again!
Once you clear episodes after the second one, you'll get results showing how well you did. Hitting 100% of all the enemies in all the stages is essential, as it helps you get more points and unlock some of the secret in Pandra's Box in the Option Mode. As for the points, the better you do, the more you get. Get enough points, and you can unlock additional routes through the levels amongst other things.
Episode 3
It's time to escape into the forest...only to be further chased after by the Mecchania Empire. They're not after you or Lagi though...they're after the Ancient Ship.
The speeder bikes take a bit of damage, but charging your shots up speeds up the pace of their destruction.
The multi-segmented ships can be easily destroyed in one swoop with charged shots. Just watch out for those missiles.
Those little flying fish things can be taken down in one shot.
The big black ship sends out a lot of baddies after you. Take them out and shoot at the ship with charged shots. Don't be afraid to let loose with your Super, as this thing can take a beating.
The boss here is some sort of precursor to the Dark Dragon (I guess). Shoot at it with charged shots (and your super), and watch out against the red balls that it shoots at you, as they move around in some sort of circle. It will hide in the trees and send enemies that spit fire into the air at you, and it can also get in front of you and try to swipe you with its claws. Every once in a while, it will shoot a huge shuriken at you. You can easily avoid it, though.
Once you beat the boss, you'll enter some ruins...

Diniz Games plays Panzer Dragoon II Zwei - Part 1 of 5
Oh, man, did I miss a good game back in the day.
Not only is there better FMVs with more speaking parts and more advanced movement in them, but you also start out with a baby mutant creature that grows into the dragon from the first game as you progress.
Panzer Dragoon II Zwei takes place 90 years before the first game.
The game begins in a small village on the frontier. Gene reconstruction has become the end of mankind, and it is now not only a fight for survival but between the warring nations. The mutant Khourieats with the green lights in their throats are killed solely because the village feels they're useless and a bad omen, but also because it's part of the village code. However, a young man finds one in a shed. Unlike the other mutants, this one comes with a pair of wings, and he couldn't bring himself to kill it. He takes care of it in secret, defying the village code. He names it Lagi, hoping one day he would be able to fly off in search of adventure and convince the village not to kill the mutants anymore.
One year later, while trying to get it to fly, enemy forces destroy his village right in front of our young hero's eyes. It is also during this time that he finally finds out what the light in the mutant Khourieat's throat does: fire powered-up lasers.
Destiny Begins
The young hero finds a gun, picks it up off the ground, and the adventure begins.
You'll only be able to run on the ground at first. This still makes it pretty interesting, as the gunplay controls from the first game is unchanged. You can still fire individual lasers as well as fire powered-up ones.
You'll see some sort of Dark Dragon fly towards a large ship in the air, and the ship will send a boulder at you. Destroy it with a combination of powered-up shots and regular ones to take it down as quickly as possible.
The crabs can be taken down with a few charged shots.
As you go through the stage and take down enemies, the gauge above your life meter grows.
At the end of the stage, your Khourieat will sprout wings and become able to fly. At first, the adventure is one of revenge, but after learning more and more beyond the story of the ancient ship, the fight against the empire goes beyond this...

TheZootySuit plays Tiny Toon Adventures - Part 6 of 6
We're at Montana Max's mansion? Already? Let's get crackin'!
Stage 6-1
The butlers are jerks. They're on the top of the level (where you can't go) and turn the lights off before turning them back on. Stay put when they do this, as you won't be able to see the pits even though you'll see the enemies.
For the second section, you'll have to run and slide over the spiked ceilings.
For the third section, you'll have to duck and jump accordingly to avoid all the money bags. You'll be able to get a heart at the top.
For the fourth section, you'll have to jump over Arnold as he charges at you three times. The third Arnold is the worst, as you'll have to jump onto the very left edge of the platform before continuing without taking any unnecessary damage.
The fifth and last section is the easiest. Just use the platforms that move in and out of the walls to jump to the top.
To beat Montana Max, use the punch gloves as platforms and try not to get hit by them. Jump on Montana Max when he pokes his head out to hit him. Coins will also come out of the circle in the center, and you get a high jump off of them like you would with regular enemies.
Once you get three hits in on him, you'll rescue Babs, see Buster Bunny stand on Montana Max's back while giving him a lecture and OH HOLY CRAP.
IT LOOKS LIKE HE'S TAKING IT UP THE BUM WHILE BUSTER IS TELLING HIM "I WARNED YOU, BRUH."
THIS ENDING IS ACTUALLY WORTH IT.
TheZootySuit plays Tiny Toon Adventures - Part 5 of 6
This is the easiest part of the game. I kid you not.
Stage 5-1
This stage is dead easy...or it should be in comparison to the rest of the game, at least.
Touch Gogo Dodo so you can continue through the level. You'll find him five times. Once you do that, you'll beat the level. There isn't even a boss here.
You'll have to run and duck to slide in order to get the last Dodo. Yeah, there's a slide move in the game, and it doesn't even get mentioned until now. Fun.
Oh, and the enemies? Pens, private eyes that are literally eyes, buckets that shoot bubbles upwards, footballs with legs...only in Wackyland.
