Kikoskia plays Barbie Ocean Discovery - Part 3 of 3

You mean there's a plot to this after all?!?

The yellow shell with the bubbles has you catching five differently colored bubbles in rings of the same color. Watch the rings, and move the cursor to the same-colored ball. You'll have to press A at the right time so that the ball floats directly into the path of the ring so that it gets into it. After matching five, you'll get the green crystal.

The green shell with the dolphin is a maze where you have to help Sandy the Dolphin find the way to a vault door. This maze is not like the one with the baby turtles; instead, you just move a dolphin around with the Control Pad while you only see a small part of the maze at any given time. When you find the vault door, you'll get the blue crystal.

After getting all three crystals, you'll use the Control Pad and the A button to move the gems to the proper place on the door. There are sound cues that tell you whether you put them in the right place or not, and they are pretty easy to figure out. When you open the door, you'll find the treasure, which Barbie decides to use to help save ocean life while spinning around. She then says "We are a great team!" even though you did 100% of the work and just moved her around. You can then replay the game, or you can also read up on the story about the treasure.

As it turns out, the sunken ship is the Royal Crest, a royal ship that was lost over 100 years ago on a voyage to collect a treasure that was never found. Until Barbie found the Captain's diary, the legend of the ship was lost. According to the diary, the Captain found the deserted crystal city as well as the vault, but the captain could only find two of the crystals to lock the door. Nevertheless, he brought the two crystals he did find back to the Royal Crest and drew a map to the location of the city and the vault for future reference.

Afterwards, a nearby volcano erupted, and the island slowly sank beneath the waves as the eruption caused a tidal wave. The captain and his crew abandoned ship and made it to safety, and the captain then wished the reader good luck finding the crystals. Barbie then found the piece of the treasure map from the start of the game inside the diary, and from there, the rest is history. (I guess.)

You won. Yay.

Kikoskia plays Barbie Ocean Discovery - Part 2 of 3

asdf

The yellow shell with the barrel on it is a mini-game where you must catch cannon balls in a barrel. Use the Control Pad to move the pipe that the ball will roll down, then press a button for the ball to drop. If your timing is right, you'll be able to get a ball in the barrel twice and get another third of the coin.

Pressing a button near the fish makes the fish move around in a circle.

The green shell with the two fish has you turning over shells and matching fish. Yep, it's a matching game that involves using the Control Pad and the A button. Completing the matching game gives you the last third of the coin. If you go a couple of turns without matching anything, the fish will all leave their shells and switch positions, and you can keep tabs on where they go, making the game a little bit easier.

After putting the coin together, head down to the bottom and you'll be able to give the coin to the gatekeeper of the lost city of...somewhere. Move the cursor to the coin, press A on it, then move the cursor and the coin to the gatekeeper to open the gates to an underwater crystal city.

You'll then be in the last section of the game, which takes place in the lost city and has three more shells leading to mini-games which, when completed, will reward you with three crystals to help you find the lost treasure.

The red shell with the notes is a memory game where you have to play a set of musical notes in a certain order. Watch the gems and pay attention to the order in which they light up, then move the cursor to each one and repeat the sequence. After doing this twice, you'll get the red crystal.

Let's explore the ocean! With Barbie!

The game beings with Barbie introducing herself before going off to search for lost treasure. She then tells you to look for shells with icons on them. By finding them, you can play games, and when you complete them, you'll get clues for finding the treasure. By replaying the games, you can win charms to add to the jeweler box.

You already have one piece of a treasure map. It's up to you to find the other three.

You'll then be underwater with Barbie. Move her around with the Control Pad, and when you find a shell with an icon on it, press the A button and you'll go to the game. Finding the game is harder than it should be, because the game never hints at where you should exactly be going to find it. If you press Start, you'll find out where you need to go to find the next shell. If you see a trail of bubbles, you'll have a path to take to the next screen.

The red shell with the fish on it is a picture puzzle. These puzzles are completely easy to assemble, and once you complete them by moving pieces with the Control Pad and the A button, you'll complete the mini-game. Beating a mini-game gives you a piece of the treasure map as well as a password.

The yellow shell with the oyster on it is a mini-game where you must catch pearls with the oyster. Press the A button to open the oyster to catch the pearls and the Control Pad to control the oyster, but watch out: the pearls will bounce off fish, and the stars will send the pearls careening in another direction should they run into them. Completing this gives you another treasure map piece.

The green shell with the turtle on it is a maze where you help baby turtles find their way to their mother. Control the turtles around the maze with the Control Pad to get the turtle back to its mother. The maze changes itself up every time you get a turtle to the end.

After beating all of the mini-games, you'll be able to head to the sunken ship, where you'll get three new mini-games and get pieces of an antique coins as you complete them.

The red shell with the sea anemone leads to a mini-game where you have to touch the sea anemone until they are all small. This will either take a few seconds or quite a while, so press A on a sea anemone to see which ones shrink or grow and work from there.
