PrinceWatercress plays Beneath A Steel Sky - Part 7 of 20

We do some more things on the residential floor of the city, including buying a ticket for a tour. We also catch Lamb while we're here.

Now that you're at the travel and insurance agencies, go to Travelco first. If you talk to Joey and tell him to interface with the computer, Joey will tell you that the computer has a virus and that he just knows that it has one.

If you talk to the travel salesman, you can ask about the tours that he can give you - the grand tour, the economy tour and the mystery tour. The mystery tour is just that - a mystery - while also being virtual reality, while the grand and economy tours are the same except for clothes. Unfortunately, you can't afford the grand tour and your clothes are not good enough for it, so you'll have to settle for the economy tour. You'll be able to get the ticket in a month or two due to the waiting list, but you'll need it now.

If you've talked to Joey and asked him to interface with the salesman's computer, you can ask the salesman if he knows that his computer has a virus. If you do, Joey will be able to access the salesman's brain patterns and find out that he is obsessed with hypermasculinity and considers laws banning motorbikes as repressive and a form of institutionalized castration. You'll also find out that he has a moped. Believe it or not, this gives you a clue as to what to do.

If you ask the salesman what he can swap for the ticket, he says he will doubt you have anything he is interested in. Thanks to Joey, we know he is into motorbikes, so let's give him the magazine we found under Reich's pillow. You'll find out that this is the T.E. Lawrence Collector's Issue of "Dangerous Bikes Monthly" that you have in your hands and that he has been looking for it for years. You'll then get your economy tour ticket in exchange for the magazine. Take the ticket with the right mouse button.

The other place we can go to around here is Anchor Insurance. You can interface with the computer here by talking to Joey and telling him to do it, but it won't do much of anything if you do it. While we can examine the nearby statue and try to get the anchor, we won't be able to get the anchor...yet.

You can also talk to the salesman. You can ask him about how to get to ground level or who Overmann is, but
he will not be helpful on either front. Not only that, but his computer will go down. The rest of the dialogue options are useless, but you'll find out that the salesman's name is Billy Anchor if you ask him why he became an insurance salesman.

Now that you're done in this area - for now - you can go looking for Lamb. You may be able to find him in the upper floor or on this one if you just wait at the elevator. Talk to Lamb on the middle floor, and you can ask him about the middle floor and find out it has a name: Belle Vue.
