PrinceWatercress plays Beneath A Steel Sky - Part 6 of 20

In this entry, we explore the middle floor of the tower that is this city. If you think the upper level was wild, just wait until you check this place out.

Now you're on a lower floor! However, there was something I forgot to do, so let's go back up.

Believer it or not, there is a loose cable to the right of the elevator, LINC terminal and factory entrance. While you can examine it, you cannot reach it yourself. However, if you talk to Joey after trying to get it, you can ask him to cut it. Have him do it, then go back to the lower level and get the cable. You now have a cable.

To the west of the elevator is the residential area. If you go into the opening on the east end of the screen, you'll find two apartments. One is Reich's, while the other is Lamb's. You'll need the proper card to enter the apartments, and while you can't enter Lamb's, you can enter Reich's. You can also look through the windows for both apartments, then move your mouse around to see what you could interact with if you were in those apartments. If you click anywhere while you are looking through the windows, however, you'll stop peeking out of them. Also, don't be surprised if you see Lamb walking between his apartment and the factory every so often.

There is a man sitting on the bench named Gallagher, but if you talk to him, he will be rather unhelpful and sounding like he is speaking in riddles.

Use Reich's ID Card on the slot for the left apartment, and you'll be in Reich's apartment. By looking around, you'll find out that Reich is fond of fish. If you right-click the pillow, you can find a magazine under it called "Dangerous Bikes Monthly." You can take the magazine. If you want, you can right-click the pillow again to put it back where it was.

If you leave the residential area and go further west, you'll find Burke's Bio Surgery. You'll also find a weird man in a suit who makes Gallagher look logical in comparison. If you take the high path on the way back east, you'll take the background path, which will loop back to the travel and insurance agencies, which you could have also done if you went east from the elevator.

You can go into Burke's Bio Surgery, but you won't be able to do anything here yet, even if you can talk to the holographic secretary.
