PrinceWatercress plays Super Mario Bros. 2 - Part 6 of 7

This is the hardest world so far...but just wait until World 7.

World 6-1

You'll be going back to the desert for World 6. Prepare for a lot of Cobrats and Pokeys.

The first pot contains a potion; make the door outside of the pot, and grab that mushroom before it sinks into the quicksand. The second mushroom is above the door leading into the cave.

In the pipe cave, enter the fifth pipe from the far right for the key (be ready to dig in the sand again!), then get it to the key door and fight a green Birdo. Once again, use the mushroom blocks; the green Birdo spits nothing but fireballs. Utilize all the mushroom blocks; just don't reuse the one you just threw.

World 6-2

Here, you'll be flying across bottomless pits on Albatosses. Get a plant for the green Panzer up ahead.

The lone platform with the plants is where you will find the mushroom and the potion you'll need to get it. From here, you'll need to ride the Albatoss going to the left all the way back, then take another ride on an even higher Albatoss heading to the right. Be ready to crouch jump over the wall of Albatosses near the end.

The Birdo here is green.

World 6-3

If you move into the quicksand to the left of the start and keep jumping when you're underneath the wall, you'll be able to take a shortcut all the way to the end of the stage.

If you're going through this stage normally, the potion will be to the right of the ladder, and the first mushroom will be at the two short cacti. In the cave, you'll have to do some careful bomb placement to get past all the walls and reach the vine at the end. It is in the middle of the lower path in his maze that you'll find the second mushroom, and you'll need to build a path from the potion on the upper level to that point to get to it. After climbing a lot of vines and dodging some green Snifits, you'll reach the pyramid the long way.

After a red Birdo, you'll face Triclyde again. Once again, create a wall of mushroom blocks if you need to, and throw the rest at Triclyde to finish them off.
